Our Wedding

Our story begins the way many modern love stories do: with a swipe right. Our first date? Let’s just say… it wasn’t love at first sight. It was awkward, a little quiet (let’s be honest I did most of the talking), and I left thinking he wasn’t that into me. But something about him stuck with me, and I said yes to a second date. That second date changed everything. On our second date, everything clicked. The conversation flowed, the laughter came naturally, and I realized that quiet doesn’t mean uninterested, it means thoughtful, and maybe just a little nervous. That second date turned into many more… and eventually, love. Now, I’m in medical school in Arizona, chasing my lifelong goal of becoming a doctor. He’s still farming in Nebraska, grounded in the life he’s always loved. It’s not always easy being miles apart, but he’s supported me through every late-night study session, exam meltdown, and anatomy lab rant: even from hundreds of miles away. We’ve built a life filled with early mornings, long-distance calls, plane tickets, and one extremely spoiled cat. It’s unconventional, but it’s ours, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We can’t wait to finally be in the same place, and even more importantly, to celebrate our forever with all of you.

Michaela and I met in college. We were in the same sorority and were roommates my last gap year before medical school. That year was one of the most magical years of my life.

Megan and I were in all things fine arts related together in high school. We did band, choir, speech, and one acts together. She only lives 6 hours away from my apartment in Arizona, so I've gotten to see her a lot during medical school.

Kelsey and I did marching band together in high school. Since then, we've been close friends and I even officiated Kelsey's wedding!

Autumn and I were besties in high school, doing marching band together. Our senior year I was drum major and she was color guard captain, so we got to accept all the awards together. She now lives 30 minutes away from me in AZ.

Kelsey and I went to high school together, and we were both on the volleyball team. We've been friends ever since and she flew out to celebrate with me for my white coat ceremony at the beginning of my medical school journey.

Leah and I played volleyball together in high school. She was the first person I traveled out of the country with and flew down to Phoenix to celebrate my white coat ceremony with me.

Jillian and I met in medical school and have been inseparable ever since. We've had study sessions that turned into sleepovers, craft sessions, and nights out in Phoenix.

Emmy and I went to WSC together, where we both dual majored in biology and chemistry. I get to see her everytime I drive between Arizona and Nebraska. She gave me all the tips and tricks before I started my OBGYN rotation, as she's a a labor and delivery nurse.

Katlin attended Wayne State with me. I have countless memories of parties in Katlin's basement and we did our homework together daily during our senior year when we were in covid lockdown.

Lexi and I were science majors together at WSC and suffered through many biology classes together. We both graduate from our graduate programs in summer of 2026.

Allen is Michael's brother. We both serve on the Tilden rescue squad!

Colton is my middle brother. We've been close all throughout our lives and I can't imagine this day without him.

Nolan is my youngest brother, who I am incredibly close with as well. He is very excited to have Michael join the family so he can have another person to lovingly make fun of.

Colton and I were friends before he ever met Michael, as we did lots of fire trainings together. When Michael and I got together, I introduced them and now they talk about trucking and see each other on the road often.

Montana is Michael's cousin. He's very excited to have another Montana in the family.

Maverick is Michael's cousin. They've been close since they were little.

Leevi is also one of Michael's many cousins. Him and Michael farm together quite frequently.

This hotel doesn't do blocks, but they do have affordable rooms available!

There also also several nice airbnbs in the area, and the Liberty House Bed and Breakfast is a unique and fun place to stay as well. If you don't wish to stay in Seward, there are many hotels in Lincoln, just 25 minutes away.
