Happily Stuck

Picture of Happily Stuck

Our story began on Friday April 1st, while Matt was on a date with another woman (whose name he did not know) at Cowboy Country. After Matt's date left early, he asked me to dance a few dances together and began talking. I informed Matt that I am weird and unapologetically me and he looked at me and smiled at that comment. The joke was on me as Matt was into my weirdness.

We talked outside of the bar until 3 am on Saturday, when he asked for my number I would not give it unless he could tell me my name. We decided to go on a date on Sunday April 3rd since he had a date scheduled with a different woman on Saturday April 2nd. We were texting on Saturday and he decided he didn't want to wait until Sunday to go on our date. Matt decided to cancel his other date to move our date sooner.

We went to a drive in movie and made an amazing picnic in the bed of Matt's truck to enjoy the date. We ate pizza and talked all night. We ended up spending part of every day together for the next 26 days.

We enjoyed our time together so much that we decided to officially date. After a month of knowing each other Matt asked me to Hawaii. I agreed and spent a great week with him and his friend Rebecca.

Shortly after dating for a short time, Matt welcomed me and Zoe, my dog, into his home so we could spend more time together. After spending several months together we went to Big Bear and talked about about everything that mattered to us then decided that we should officially move in together.

Several months of living together we decided to become nomadic and travel the world before we got married and settle down. So we packed everything up and went on a crazy year of traveling the world. We went to Alaska on a cruise, New York for vacation and a wedding, Lake Havasu for the sun and boats, five weeks in Thailand enjoying food and beaches, and Denver for 3 months so I could learn to snowboard. We ended our travels in Hawaii for two weeks so we could elope and get married on a beach with just our parents.

We are now ready to settle down, we bought a house and now want to have a party to celebrate our marriage with all of our friends and family.
