Jonathan and Morgan's first date was at a speakeasy recommended to Jonathan by his brother and sister-in-law. In true form, Morgan got lost and drove by the discreetly labeled establishment multiple times; she was very late. Thankfully Jonathan waited, and once they started talking immediately found that they had a lot in common. For instance they discovered that they had both attended Kansas State University, both moved to Kansas City after graduating, even working for the same company at the same time.

Jonathan had just purchased a house that week and was starting a new job the next Monday but still found time to ask Morgan (who was still in the process of moving from Memphis) on a second date.

Since then Jonathan and Morgan have continued to find things in common as they both love spending time with family, binge watching "classic" shows like Friends or Seinfeld, and ordering dessert "just because".

On February 24, 2024 Jonathan proposed after dinner out with their parents. She said YES!
