The 2.7-mile Nature Trail loop is one of three trails at the Konza Prairie, with all three sharing the same trailhead. If you have more time, consider extending your hike to 4.4 miles for the King’s Creek Loop or 6 miles for the Goodwin Hill loop.

Named Best Zoo in Kansas by Yahoo Travel and home to over 150 unique animals – from anteaters to wallabies – Sunset Zoo in Manhattan, KS, offers up-close views of unique animals, including wallabies, leopards, otters, and a jumping, hooting array of primates.

Admission is free. The Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art collects art of the region and brings art and artists from around the world to the heart of Kansas.

Grab a pick me up at Arrow Coffee co, see a movie, do some shopping, or visit city park. Our favorite is 324 Speakeasy- just make sure to check their Facebook page for the password!

The Zoo offers an interactive experience for visitors, where they can experience the sights, sounds, and smells of live creepy crawlies, including giant cockroaches, beetles, giant walking and prickly sticks, praying mantises, and centipedes, scorpions, and tarantulas.
