Getting to Shaw Island

WA State Ferry
Be sure to check the WA State Ferry Sailing Schedule (Spring: March 23 - June 14) for Anacortes to Shaw island.
On Saturday, there are limited sailings leaving Anacortes. The one to catch would be the 10:00am and arriving to Shaw at 11:20am.
Reservations to book for June opened up on Jan. 29th. We’ve booked several car reservations for Friday, June 6 and the morning of Saturday, June 7; however, please try to book your own reservation first. If you can’t get one, let us know!
Consider carpooling if you can, because Shaw Island is the smallest of the islands, there is a limited number of cars allowed on any one sailing from Anacortes.
Tip! Download the WSDOT App for ease of accessing reservation system, ferry announcements, vessel watch, etc.
Option to park in Anacortes and walk on ferry (no reservations needed for walk on). We will have transportation to take folks to wedding venue and return folks at Shaw Island ferry terminal.
Important Note: there are NO reservations available to go off of Shaw back to the mainland, cars leave Shaw on a first come first serve basis. Each sailing offers 9-13 cars from Shaw. If you plan to leave on Sunday, please consider getting to terminal a couple of hours before sailing!

Bring Your Own Boat
Option to bring your own boat and tie up on the Neck Point Dock, or in Indian Cove outside of the campground, or in Blind Bay.
Kenmore Air
Option to fly from Seattle to the islands. Kenmore Air will fly to the dock outside of Davin's folk's house through a charter booking.
Orcas Hotel
Option to rent a room on Orcas Island at the Orcas Hotel, which is walking distance from ferry landing. If you did this option, you could plan to take inner island ferry to and from Shaw.
Check out website for all details - if you like this option, try to reserve soon. The hotel only has 10 rooms.
Friday Harbor
Option to book hotel or other accommodation in Friday Harbor, many of which are walking distance from ferry landing. If you did this option, you could plan to take inner island ferry to and from Shaw.
Vacation Rental
Choose an Airbnb or VRBO on Orcas or another surrounding island and take the inner island ferry to Shaw.
Shaw Island Camp Ground
We plan to book as many individual sites as possible, plus large group site, as soon as the reservations open, which is around the first week of March at the Shaw Island Campground.
Check out the website to see what spot you like and note the rules about how many tents, cars allowed, etc.

Nancy & Tyler's House
Option to camp at Davin’s folk’s house. Room for about 5 small tents behind house. Location includes rugged areas for tents and shared BBQ. Bring your cooler and supplies. Plan to drop gear off and then park car at boat launch or pool. Minimal access inside house. Short walk to porta potty.
