It was the year 2017 and like any true millennial love story - it started on an app. Their first date at Stamford, CT's finest Mexican establishment, Casa Villa, consisted of Tom's late arrival, an insurance company's Pinot Paint night, and torrential downpours. To Morgan's fear and realization, she found that her first date may end up as the next Law & Order SVU plot line with Tom following her home. To Morgan's relief and everyone's surprise they ended up being neighbors.

Despite Morgan's attempts at trying to lose Tom over the coming months after he dodged her attempts at a first kiss, it was the local newspaper that first captured their love.

In Summer 2018, Tom jumped ship to the west coast for a new job opportunity and the pair started a bicoastal long distance relationship. While the monthly San Diego weekend trips were enjoyable, the future was uncertain. As Morgan submitted applications to grad school, she cast a wide net to include a school in San Diego. In a moment of destiny, Morgan would be moving to California in Spring 2019.

Through grad school and COVID, Morgan and Tom explored the West Coast and deepened their love for the outdoors spending time skiing, surfing and hiking.

It was only fitting that Tom proposed while on a ski trip to Lake Tahoe in January 2023. Following an epic day of skiing knee deep powder, Tom somehow convinced Morgan to "take a walk" out to the snow covered pier where he popped the question - the rest is history.

Fast forward to August 10, 2024 - Morgan and Tom are excited for you to join them in San Diego in celebrating their love!
