Traveling to Mont-Tremblant is about a 5-hour drive from Syracuse. Traffic is minimal except for at the border crossing and through Ottawa.
Flying into Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) requires about a scenic 1 hour 20 minute drive to Mont-Tremblant.
There is also a private airport located in Mont-Tremblant for smaller non-commerical flights.
Do I need a passport?
YES! Up to date, valid US passport for flights, or passport or an enhanced driver's license or enchanted non-driving ID card will allow you to enter the Country of Canada. Allow for 100+ days to address any new document requests like passport updates.
Will I have any issues at the border entering Canada?
Canada does have some restrictions for US citizen entry, including driving under the influence charges within the last 10 years. Should I stay in the hotel or get an Air Bnb/rental?
The Bride & Groom want to encourage on-resort lodging for all guests, this includes the top two hotel recommendations on the lodging page, as well as most options listed on the resort website: Tremblant.ca . All events for the wedding will be run from the resort village. Easily walkable from resort hotels are Starbucks, many restaurants, shops, hiking, and much more! The cocktail hour the night before, the shuttle stops to and from the wedding venue, and the after party will all be hosted in the resort village. Canada also has some of the most strict drinking and driving laws, and the resort offers walkable activities for all at all hours!
Will I be understood speaking English in Mont Tremblant?
Yes! Although Mont Tremblant is primarily French speaking, all services are also offered in English. It will be fun to brush up on your “Bonjour” “Merci” and “Bonsoir!”

Which hotels are closest to the shuttle pick up and drop off?
The Marriott Residence Inn is the closest to the shuttle stop of all the hotels recommended in the resort village - about a 5 minute walk.
The Fairmont is the next closest, about a 15 minute walk.
Can I bring a date?
Any guests or dates invited to the wedding will be printed on the envelope of your invitation.
What about parking …
Parking for the Mont Tremblant Resort Village & Fairmont Hotel:
For guests staying at the Mont Tremblant Resort village area, you will have parking including in your hotel room. You can take the Cabriolet to the top of the pedestrian village and walk left to the Fairmont. Follow signs and proceed up two flights of stairs to the restaurant located behind the main lobby.
For guests traveling from other locations in the area, free parking is available at P1 parking area. You can then take the Cabriolet to the top of the pedestrian village and walk left to the Fairmont. Follow signs and proceed up two flights of stairs to the main lobby where the restaurant is located just behind. Additional parking area options are available leading up to the Fairmont for a fee.
Guests who wish to be dropped off or have walking limitations can go to the Fairmont main entrance. You may proceed to self parking or use the Valet service at the Fairmont for $25 Canadian (approx $18US) for our event.
