Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

You are welcome to RSVP on our wedding website! We are happy to have you celebrate our big day with us!

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues? Are they wheelchair accessible?

Our ceremony and reception will be held at Crosskeys Vineyards! The venue is wheelchair accessible!

What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue(s)?

If you choose to book through our wedding block, there will be shuttles to and from our venue! There is also ample parking at the venue.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Our ceremony will be outdoors, and cocktail hour and our reception will be indoors. In the event of rain, our ceremony will still be outdoors, but on a balcony at the venue. Unfortunately, the balcony is not wheelchair accessible.

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Summer cocktail attire. For the Ladies: Summer dresses (midi or maxi lengths are lovely), dressy jumpsuits, or dressy separates. Consider light, breathable fabrics like linen, cotton, or silk blends. Wedges, dressy sandals, or block heels are recommended for navigating the vineyard grounds. For the Gentlemen: Linen suits or blazers, dress pants or chinos, and collared shirts (button-downs or polos). Feel free to skip the tie, but a smart casual look is appreciated. Dress shoes or loafers are perfect. Please keep in mind that the ceremony will be outdoors on potentially uneven surfaces, so choose footwear accordingly. We also recommend bringing a light layer for the evening as temperatures may cool.

Are there any colors or styles you'd prefer me to wear?

Please refrain from wearing white, sage, or emerald green to avoid matching with members of the bridal party.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Your invitation will state if you are allowed to bring a plus one.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

While we are both teachers and love kiddos, we kindly ask that our ceremony and reception are 18+ only. Enjoy a night away from the little ones!

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

There will be a traditional beef and fish option at the reception. Additionally, there will be vegetarian and gluten-free options for those with dietary restrictions!

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

In lieu of wedding gifts, please kindly consider donating to our First House Fund listed in the Registry tab on our website! Times are changing. We live in a small space, and while all of your wonderful gifts would be greatly appreciated, we have nowhere to put them. Considering this, we have forgone a traditional wedding registry and have instead offered the option to contribute to the down payment for our first home. Please know that this is completely optional, and your presence and celebration with us is gift enough!

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Our ceremony will begin at 5 pm. Information regarding shuttle timing will be available closer to our wedding date.

What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?

Our reception will end at 11:00 pm. There will not be an after-party.

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

There will be a cocktail hour immediately following our ceremony that will lead straight into our reception. All events will be held at the venue.

Could you suggest places to eat, drink and see while I am in town for your wedding?

Please see our Things To Do tab on our website for recommendations! Harrisonburg is a beautiful city with lots of things to do!

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

While we are excited to see your photos from our big day, our ceremony will be unplugged. We will have a photographer and videographer to capture our ceremony! You are highly encouraged to take photos at the reception!

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

Please feel free to share your memories from celebrating our big day for the world to see!! Our wedding hashtag is #WaitingForWaylett and we encourage guests to use the hashtag when posting so we can see what a wonderful time our guests had!

I have more questions about your wedding, who can I contact?

Please feel free to contact Morgan at (410) 533-9968 or Smith at (757) 771-8212.
