Joshua and I both happened to stumble upon this dating app, Upward, that we had never heard of around October of 2022. We had both used it for a few days before Joshua drew me in with a stunning one liner and it said... "Howdy". That was it. That was all it took for me to respond and send us on this wonderful journey.

I was still at college in Erie, PA at the time and Joshua was living at his house two hours away in Akron, OH, so we still aren't entirely sure how we ended up on each other's radar, but we quickly learned after our first 7-hour Facetime that we had to see what could be in store for us!

As time went by, we quickly met each other's family and friends and started our bi-weekly visits as I was starting out as a pediatric nurse in Pittsburgh, PA and Joshua was continuing with his engineering career in Akron, OH. We have always tried to make the most of our short weekends together with trips to the zoo, craft shows, the Lego store, countless places for food, and pretty much any country concert we could get tickets for!

Almost two years later, Joshua joined my family on our vacation to Alaska in August of 2024 and asked me to marry him in one of the most gorgeous places we've ever been! It will forever be one of our most special memories, surrounded by family, gorgeous scenery, and our bear and moose friends we made along the way.

We are so incredibly excited to be able to share these memories and this special sacrament with all of you as we enter the next phase of our life together!
