Jaclyn Scarpa - Matron of Honor
Jaclyn has been my right-hand woman for literally as long as I can remember. Our moms and siblings were friends before we were even really in the world and it ended up blooming into the most wonderful friendship.
We've been through every single step of life together from swimming in my family's pond when we were kids, to deciding what we wanted our lives to look like, and even Jaclyn's own wedding a couple years back.
Jaclyn has been the person who has made me laugh the most in my life and has seen me at my highest highs and lowest lows. She has always been my rock in more ways than she knows and I'm so thrilled she'll be right next to me on this special day.
Joella Nagy - Bridesmaid
Joella is Joshua's little sister and it has been an absolute pleasure getting to know her. She attends the Cleveland Institute of Art for animation and is truly the most creative person I have ever met in my life. She has an unbelievable ability to make something absolutely incredible out of the most mundane object or project. She is one of the people Joshua is most proud of and he is constantly showing off her latest project in awe. As a fellow little sister, I love that she is always keeping him on his toes and has helped shape him into who he is today. I am so blessed to get her as a sister!
Chloe Palmiere - Bridesmaid
Chloe was my wonderful college roommate for 3 out of our 4 years at Gannon University. We knew of each other during our senior year of high school, but never knew what close friends we'd become less than a year later. I'm sure everybody knows that you go through everything with your college friends, especially your roommates. We ate almost every meal together (mostly salmon and rice bowls), watched quite a lot of Criminal Minds and even supported each other through a few ER trips together. Chloe has always inspired me to be the best version of myself while being unapologetically herself. I have always admired those qualities about her and will continue to appreciate all of our memories together forever.
Kiana Vullo - Bridesmaid
Kiana and I met throughout college through a grapevine of friends, and I couldn't be more grateful we found each other. She is easily one of the smartest people I know with this incredible drive and determination that I can only dream of having. We both share a love for the medical field with me being a pediatric nurse and her training in school to be a pediatrician. There's also a deeply rooted love for the boy band One Direction, but we don't have to talk about that. She inspires me every day to work hard towards your goals and jump over every hurdle life throws at you with grace. I am so blessed to have her in my life.
Orv Taylor - Best Man
Orv and I lived on the same floor freshman year at Marietta College and we were both enrolled in the Petroleum Engineering program. Initially, not much was said between us until one weekend before a large series of exams. One may believe that Orv and I decided to study together and that slowly grew into a life long friendship, but this is only half true. In actuality, Orv happened to walk out of his room as I was taping a wet floor sign to the ceiling of the freshman bathrooms. Rather than passing by, Orv decided to partake in the following shenanigans. This was the true start of a friendship that has lasted and grown ever since. In college we became nearly inseparable; from deciding to join the same fraternity, countless study sessions, rooming together for the remaining years of college and even taking me to the hospital when I had amnesia (it's an interesting story that I can't tell). Orv and I have shared many and for the most part, cherished memories. Through thick and thin we have always been a dynamic duo and ride or die partners in crime. We both try to bring out the best in each other and push one another in each opportunity that presents itself. I consider myself honored to have Orv as my best friend and incredibly lucky that he will serve as my best man.
Nathan Craig - Groomsman
Nathan and I met all the way back in kindergarten, and although we were in different classes, there was much more in common than we ever realized. For starters, I believe anyone would be hard-pressed to find a more competitive duo than Nathan and I. From school, to sports, to every day life. Nathan and I seemed to cross paths frequently, but always as opponents. As the frequency increased, Nathan and I began to foster a closer relationship. We began to enjoy each others company outside of the competitive realm and soon realized that although we spent much of the previous years in competition with one another, we are very similar. Time passed and we chose to go to different high schools and colleges. It became apparent immediately to me that despite the effort of seeing each other as frequently as possible, a big part of my day to day life was missing. Now out of college, Nathan and I work at the same company and see each other almost every day and continue to grow closer as friends. I am proud of the hurdles that Nathan and I have overcome through the years. Nathan is one of my closest friends in life and I am honored to have him alongside me as a groomsman and friend.
Dominic Chirappa - Groomsman
Dominic and I were destined to become friends before we were even born as our parents were friends as newly weds. Over the early years of our lives we had occasional run-ins but never really got to know each other. That all changed immediately after my high school graduation. A group of us had gone down to the Hatfield and McCoy trails in West Virginia for an ATV trip. While we were down there we really got to know each other pretty well as we ended up sharing an ATV due to an unfortunate accident with a miraculous and daring escape involving Dominic. In the following chaos, working together and the shared riding, we talked about our interests in fishing, hunting, and sharing stories of our lives. In the following years since, we have become closer as friends. Dominic has always been someone who I can count on for a practical approach/technique our shared interests and frustrations, especially as older brothers. Despite our limited time knowing each other and often sparse face to face interactions, Dominic and I have never had a hard time finding topics of conversation, or a reason to check in on one another. I look forward to the future and all the experiences that we have left to share, and I could not imagine standing on the altar without him up there as one of my groomsmen and closest friends.
Thomas Mullen - Groomsman
Thomas and I met day one of our first day of school and have been good friends ever since. There was no learning to be friends, or one particular moment when we began to forge a friendship that I ever recall. It just was instant friendship since day one, literally. We effectively grew up together; inseparable through much of our elementary and middle school days. Countless sleepovers, New Years Eve celebrations at Fun n' Stuff, many days at the Brecksville Reservation wading through the creeks catching crawdads and shiners even a few camping trips were among the good times. However, as we grew up and moved along in life we both made choices that separated us physically, but our friendship remained strong. We always seemed to be able to pick up right where we left off even if we didn't talk for a while. My longest lasting friendship and it happened purely by luck or perhaps fate. As the time comes, I reflect on the individuals that helped shape me into who I am today, of that sentiment, one of my best friends, Thomas, has absolutely contributed his role and has honored me by standing by me as a groomsman and lifelong friend.
