There are direct flights into Vancouver International Airport from the Toronto and New York areas. Because of the 3-hour time difference from the west coast, flights to Vancouver typically leave in the afternoon and flights out of Vancouver will run either in the morning or overnight. The flight is ~4-6 hours from the east coast depending on location.
