Our Wedding

As many of you already know, Eduardo and Nancy’s love story didn’t begin in some peaceful, romantic setting. Nope! try 8fifty8, a nightclub in Chicago back in 2013. Nancy was invited by a mutual friend (Nancy’s cousin Ana) to Eddie’s big birthday bash. She didn’t know him, he didn’t know her, and Eddie later confirmed he remembered little to nothing because he was “celebrating” a little too hard. Nancy wished him a happy birthday and kept it moving, but she’ll admit, she definitely thought the birthday boy was cute. Fast forward two years. Destiny said, “Let’s try this again.” They ran into each other again, this time at Rancho Cinco Blancos. Eddie was sober this time around. And Nancy left a big impression, big enough that Eddie immediately went on social media and followed her… and then proceeded to periodically “check in.” They still didn’t talk; it wasn’t the right time yet, but Eddie stayed persistent… or stalkerish. Depends who you ask, lol. Then came August 2016. The stars aligned. Eddie noticed something on Nancy’s social media, she was single! That was his moment. He didn’t waste a second, and that’s when he decided to shoot his shot. He slid into her DMs… a message that would end up changing both of their lives. It took a few weeks for them to schedule their first date, and Nancy told him ahead of time that she’d need to be home early just in case things were “awkward.”Plot twist: they had the exact opposite problem. They went to the shooting range, Fogo de Chão, and then bar-hopped in River North until 4 a.m. They laughed nonstop, connected effortlessly, and realized how much they had in common. Maximum chemistry and zero awkwardness. On November 2, 2016, Eddie asked Nancy to be his girlfriend, in Disney World, of all magical places and the rest is history. Two beautiful children later, countless memories, and this November 2026 they’ll be celebrating ten years together. And now, with God’s blessing, they’re promising a lifetime to each other, surrounded by the family and friends who have witnessed their journey. Thank you all for being part of their story… whether you met them at a nightclub, a ranch, on social media, or somewhere else they probably weren’t supposed to be. Let’s celebrate the couple who proved that sometimes all it takes is one blurry birthday, one sober do-over, and one very strategic DM.

A cenote is a natural pit, or sinkhole, resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater. The term originated on the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, where cenotes were commonly used for water supplies by the ancient Maya, and occasionally for sacrificial offerings. The Yucatán Peninsula alone has an estimated 10,000 cenotes, water-filled sinkholes naturally formed by the collapse of limestone, located across the Yucatán Peninsula, in Mexico.
