Am I allowed to bring my children?

Colombia is a child friendly country! Enjoy your trip + time in Colombia with your kids, and while we love each and every one of your children, please do not bring them to any of the wedding events as they are adult and invite only.

Fill out the immigration registration form 72 hours before your trip or up to one hour before. https://apps.migracioncolombia.gov.co/pre-registro/en

Tips:You can create a frequent traveler account from now, so that this process is quicker to complete 72 hours before travel.

Step 2: The airport is MEDELLIN (MDE), JOSÉ MARÍA CORDOVA AIRPORT

Step 3: USA + MEX nationals do not need a visa to enter Colombia, however, you do need to fill out the form. Purpose of the visit: TOURISM

Step 4: It’s useful to have your hotel name handy, as you’ll need to provide it.

If the form sends you to a GATEWAY ERROR page, open an incognito browser and start over (click ctrl + shift + n at the same time on your keyboard), I find that it is easier to complete from a computer.

Si el formulario le redirige a una página de ERROR DE GATEWAY, abra un navegador de incógnito y vuelva a empezar (presione Ctrl + Mayús + N simultáneamente en su teclado). Me parece que es más fácil completarlo desde una computadora.

What Expiration Date Is OK On My Passport?

To be safe, make sure your passport expires no earlier than November 2025 (7 month window from our wedding).

Can I Drink The Water At The Restaurants?

Yes! Any water served to you at the restaurants is safe to drink. They may not give you a bottle, but restaurants do not typically serve tap water to guests. (And even if they did, tap water in Medellin (and most of Colombia) is safe to drink. That being said, please do not drink the tap water in Guatape as it on a rural water system and likely less safe.)

Is Colombia safe?

Yes. We highly recommend visiting a few places while you're in the country for our wedding. We personally would recommend taking the time to visit Bogota, Medellin, and Santa Marta or Cartagena, and if you want to talk to Natalia about it, please reach out, though (as you all probably know) it's unlikely that she'll text back. :) The U.S. State Department lists the regions of Santa Marta, Tunja, Bucaramanga, Quindio, Risaralda, Caldas, and a few others as safe and approved for travel. Fun fact, Bogota is one of South America’s safest urban areas, with a violent crime rate lower than Indianapolis. That being said, please avoid acting like a fool. A hopefully unecessary but kind reminder, the use of drugs, is illegal in Colombia. Don't be dumb, thanks!

I’m obsessed with these convertible heels—I wear them to every wedding! They have a bridal program for guest discounts. Highly recommend, especially for Guatapé’s cobblestone streets!

RSVPs & Such

By when do I need to RSVP?

We will be asking guests to RSVP or give their likelihood of RSVP every step of the way. From the Save the Date to the Invitation - please RSVP as soon as you have booked a place to stay, and if anything changes, please let us know as soon as possible. Our venue has limited capacity and our guest list is large, so we need to know if anything changes. Thank you!

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card? And WHEN?

PLEASE RSVP online. We travel a lot and may miss it if you only RSVP by mail!
