It all started with a teddy bear one Mardi Gras season. My friend Kelsey invited some of her friends to stay at my house for the Endymion parade. Little did I know I was about to fall in love with one of her friends! My dad was in the parade and wanted to give me a teddy bear. Jacob was kind enough to put me on his shoulders and negotiate his way with the police so I could see my dad and get my bear. He was a great sport and took turns carrying the bear around the French Quarter in the pouring down rain. Eventually, and 10 pounds later, he convinced me that the wet bear had to stay behind. The rest is history. Shortly thereafter, we started dating and five years later we are engaged to be married on March 29, 2025!
