July 30, 2020: Move to Las VegasNatalie and Layla (original cat) moved from Minneapolis to Las Vegas on her first travel therapy assignment. August 22, 2020: IntroductionNatalie and Eric matched on Hinge and started out as friends September 12, 2020: "First Date"Natalie and Eric hung out for the first time. Eric picked Natalie up and they went hiking in Red Rock Canyon as well as breakfast at Babystack's Cafe. January 3, 2021: Fostering CatsNatalie decided to take in a foster cat that ended up being more medically fragile than was expected and Eric helped her by watching the cat when Natalie went on a backpacking trip. January 22, 2021: First TripNatalie and Eric did a road trip to Phoenix, AZ to visit friends. Love of traveling and trips started early! June 10, 2021: First Family TripNatalie's extended family planned a family trip for everyone that we were able to join in Minnesota! September 4, 2021: First Race (10K)Eric ran his first race that Natalie got to cheer him on! As of today, Natalie has not missed a race yet. Races have been as far east as Boston, MA, as far west as Eugene, OR, as far north as Duluth, MN, and as far south as Austin, TX. September 12, 2021: Start Long DistanceNatalie decided to continue travel therapy and moved to Valley Springs, CA. Here she spent 3 months drinking wine and reliving her small town resident days. October 1, 2021: First International TripTrip down to Chihuahua, Mexico where Natalie got to meet a lot of Eric's extended family and attend his cousin's wedding! December 4, 2021: Eric's First Ever MarathonEric ran his first full marathon in Sacramento, CA with a time of 2 hours and 29 minutes! Natalie was able to drive along the route and cheer him on throughout the race. February 14, 2022: Moving in TogetherNatalie and Eric had been living together for a couple months with Eric's parents, but this was the day they officially moved into their own (rented) condo with Layla! April 13, 2023: Boston Marathon Weekend #1We travelled to Boston for Eric to run the marathon and spent days after in New York. This would be our first experience at a Michelin Star restaurant! Did not disappoint! May 14, 2023: Batch of Kittens ArriveNatalie decides to foster again and Eric agrees.. so Natalie decides on a feral mama and 5 kittens, not difficult at all! Two of these five kittens result in additions to our family about 2 months later. This brings our cat count to THREE! February 12, 2024: Next MoveMoving up into the world! We moved from our condo to a house! Very thankful to Eric's friend to rent it out to us, even with all of our cats! July 28, 2024: EngagementEric brings me camping for a weekend and we live out of our car (and campsites). Come to find out, our one night in town he had more planned than dinner at a restaurant. He took me to a beach and pulled out a ring!!

Airport

If you are flying in, you will be flying into Harry Reid International Airport. The airport is fairly easy to navigate, everything is connected! The only piece of advice we have is to keep an eye on where you go for pickup. There are separate floors for passenger pickup and Uber/Lyft.

There are multiple locations of this hotel, please note the specific hotel you get. - Durango is one of our favorites in regards to food/sports book.- Red Rock is great for being near lots of hiking-Green Valley Ranch will be closest to the venue

Station Casinos

- Airbnb and Vrbo-Obviously the strip has a large amount of hotels to stay in! Staying on the south end (Bellagio and south) will make the commute to the venue a little easier. If you do go about picking your own place, these are the areas that would be best to stay in.~ Henderson~ Anywhere in the southern part~ Summerlin~ Spring Valley can also be good, but the others are preferred

Outdoor Exploration

There are so many hikes right outside of Las Vegas all around the city that we don't have listed. All hikes outside of these locations will be free and have parking access. If you want any recommendations for a certain part of town, let us know :) Hiking in <a href="https://www.redrockcanyonlv.org/fees/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Red Rock</a> ($20; 27 miles away from venue)- Pine Creek Canyon Trail (easy)- First Creek Canyon Trail (moderate)- Calico Tanks (difficult towards the end, but overall moderate)- Turtlehead (this one is HARD but the views are amazing)- Calico Hills Overlook Scramble (more of an outdoor bouldering experience, gonna be harder) **You can also drive a 13-mile loop around Red Rock to see the sights! There are a lot of parking lots that you can turn into and do short hikes from those that don't go as deep as the official hikes listed. No reservation required; just park fee. <a href="https://parks.nv.gov/parks/valley-of-fire#fees" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Valley of Fire</a> ($15; 64 miles away from venue)- Unfortunately, a lot of the hikes will be closed until October 1st due to heat conditions. You are still able to go into the park and do the shorter hikes right off the main road, but there wouldn't be any longer hiking allowed. This would be a good stop if you happen to be driving into Vegas! Hiking in <a href="https://www.gomtcharleston.com/hikes-trails/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Mount Charleston</a> (free; 57 miles from venue)- Eagle's Nest Trail (easy)- Lower Bristlecone Trail (nice views; moderate, more uphill)- Little Falls Trail (moderate; hidden waterfall potentially)- Raintree Trail (hard) **Lee Meadow is a nice spot to stop and have lunch in the foliage before enjoying the desert of Las Vegas. There was a hurricane that washed out a lot of favorite trails and they are being restored, but still could be good if you are staying longer! It can also just be driven through, if hiking isn't your thing :) Hoover Dam-Railroad Tunnel Trail Northwest- Lone Mountain (one of the most popular hikes in Vegas, since it is technically inside the city! Great views of the strip and beautiful sunset/sunrise!) Blue Diamond- Rent a mountain bike to see some burrows (desert donkeys)

The Strip- Bellagio Gardens- High Roller- Welcome to Las Vegas Sign- Coca-Cola World (get the 'around the world' to try cokes from around the world!)- Cosmopolitan Hotel: Chandelier bar- The Sphere Also, just walking through the shops and casinos allows for great entertainment and people watching! Off the Strip- Mob Museum- Neon Museum (best to do the tour and can be done at night so the signs are lit)- Arts District (small shops, restaurants, and breweries galore!)- Fremont Street (more touristy than the other options)- Durango Resort (for amazing food)- Container Park (outdoor park that has restaurants, shops, and bars built inside of shipping containers)

Come on over to the Arts District to hop around some great breweries and restaurants with us! You can follow us around or check out other places yourself and wave as you walk by. No reservations needed!
