What should I know about attending a Catholic wedding Mass?

Our ceremony will include a full Catholic Mass, which lasts about an hour and includes scripture readings, prayers, the exchange of vows, and Holy Communion (the Eucharist). Everyone is welcome to attend, regardless of religious background. If you're not Catholic—or if you're Catholic but not in a state of grace (meaning you've committed serious sin and haven't recently gone to Confession)—we kindly ask that you DO NOT receive the Eucharist. Instead, you’re welcome to come forward during Communion with your arms crossed over your chest to receive a blessing. There will be moments of standing, sitting, and kneeling throughout the Mass. Feel free to follow along as you're comfortable. Please follow along the ceremony using the program provided on the day of the wedding.

Can I take photos or videos during the ceremony?

Yes, you're welcome to take discreet photos or videos — we just kindly ask that you do not use flash out of respect for the sacredness of the Nuptial Mass and to avoid distractions. We’ll also have a professional photographer capturing everything, so you can relax and enjoy the moment.

Is there assigned seating at the ceremony or reception?

At the ceremony, seating is open. At the reception, there will be assigned tables.

Can I bring a plus-one or my children?

We truly wish we could celebrate with everyone, but due to limited seating at our reception venue, we can only accommodate the guests listed by name on the invitation. That said, nursing babies and young children who can be held are absolutely welcome, even if their names aren’t listed. We’re so grateful for your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you!
