Jamari and Natalie met through Hinge in 2020, and though neither of them expected to form a serious relationship at the time, they quickly began spending every weekend together driving back and forth from Richmond to Hayward. (For our loved ones who aren't from the Bay Area, this is essentially a long distance relationship). Early in the relationship when Natalie's car was totaled after being rear-ended on the highway, Jamari then took on the job of driving to Richmond to pick Natalie up, take her to Hayward, then drop her back off at the end of the weekend before driving back home, spending nearly two hours a weekend driving.

Quickly weekends became extended to weeks, and before long Natalie and Jamari had moved into their first apartment together (along with Sheldon and Eurydice of course!). It was actually very early in their relationship that Jamari made his intentions to marry very clear, a sentiment that Natalie returned wholeheartedly. Over the past five years they have traveled, hosted, adopted a second precious cat, navigated lost jobs, going back to school, and continued to be committed to their love together throughout.

We love to share our interests with each other, with Jamari introducing Natalie to many anime series (we have made significant progress on finishing One Piece, which without saying too much is very impressive), and Natalie has brought Jamari to watch her perform in nearly ten shows, with Jamari attending each show almost every night!

Jamari and Natalie have known for a long time that they would be spending their lives together, and are both unendingly grateful to be sharing their love with all of their family and friends.
