Getting ThereTaxis are not widely available in Ostuni. We would recommend having a car available to get from the city to our venue. If you do not have a rental car, let us know and we can set you up with someone who does.Please note that when driving to the venue, you want to stay on the main roads SP16, SP14, and/or SP22

MealsPlease note that breakfast will be provided every morning, and dinner will be provided every night of the stay. Lunch on the wedding day and day after the wedding is available to purchase at the pool bar for those who want to stay around the masseria. There are also amazing restaurants in Ostuni / other surrounding towns if you are out exploring!

Accommodation

There are several ways to get to Ostuni! The most common is to fly/train into Bari or Brindisi, then drive to Ostuni.The drive is super easy and makes it 10x easier to get to our venue (as taxis aren’t a thing). If you’re comfortable driving, car rental would be the best option as you’re not risking train cancellations and it makes travel around Puglia a breeze.

From Bari, there are a couple of ways to get to Ostuni:1) Rental car: Take the motorway E55 and drive for about 60 km. Take the first exit to Ostuni.Please note that when driving to the venue, you want to stay on the main roads SP16, SP14, and/or SP222) Public Transport: Take a bus or a train (recommended) from the airport to Bari train station. From here take a train to Ostuni. Note that train strikes are common in Italy.

If You're Arriving Into Bari

From Brindisi, there are a couple of ways to get to Ostuni:1) Rental Car: Take the motorway E55 to Bari and drive for about 30 km. Take the first exit to Ostuni.2) Public Transport: From Brindisi train station take a train direction Bari. Make sure it stops at Ostuni train station. From Ostuni train station take a bus to get to the city centre. Please note that trains strike in Puglia frequently.

If You're Arriving Into Brindisi

There are several trains running from cities in Italy (including Rome and Milan) to Ostuni. You can train from Rome to Bari in about 4 hours, then go directly from Bari to Ostuni in about 30 minutes. The ItaliaRail site is excellent, we’ve linked it here! We have also made great use of the “omio” app. Omio.com can also be used. It shows busses, flights, and trains! It’s very user friendly for transportation booking. Please note that trains and transport in Italy strike frequently. Ostuni’s train station is on the Bari – Lecce regional train line. A modern, efficient and reliable train service runs regularly connecting Ostuni to Monopoli, Polignano, Bari and to Brindisi and Lecce. However the train station is approximately 3.5km from town, connected by a bus service and occasional taxis!

The morning of the wedding and the day after you will have some time to explore!Here are some nearby cities that we recommend for a morning or afternoon: Ostuni, Alberobello, Brindisi, Locorotondo, Castellana Grotte, and Monopoli. Day Trips

There are some great sights right in town! The town isn't huge, so you'll likely be able to see them all in a day! For those of you that arent big on walking, there are bike rentals readily available as well as guided tours. I've linked a great blog with some good information on visiting Ostuni on the 'website' link below. If you need restaurant recommendations, Natasha has a great list she can send to you!

Ostuni Sites

Ostuni is close to some beautiful beaches! Here are a few we recommend! We've also linked a website with more info! 1) Lido Morelli&nbsp;(8km from city centre)2) Villanova. OK this isn't quite a beach, but its a small fishing port that represents the centre of the Ostuni coastline. There is a castle here!3) Rosa Marina. This is a seaside village about 8km from Ostuni. There are several beautiful beaches around this area.4) Torre Pozzella. This consists of a succession of small inlets protected by cliffs all covered with a beautiful Mediterranean vegetation. It is about 9km from Ostuni.

Monopoli: Here you'll find some great picturesque beaches! <a href="https://www.alongdustyroads.com/posts/things-to-do-polignano-a-mare" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Polignano a Mare </a>is a town just north of Monopoli and is known for its picturesque beaches. Some say this is the best place to stay in Puglia. <a href="https://www.thethinkingtraveller.com/italy/puglia/valle-d-itria" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Valle d’Itria</a>: Great for our guests who love to explore by bike! This town is known for its trulli and really looks like it is out of a storybook. Numerous operators in the Valle d’Itria offer e-bike rental and guided cycling tours. <a href="alberobellotourism.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Alberobello</a>: This UNESCO world heritage site is SO COOL. You really only need about 4 or so hours here. It's a quick drive from Ostuni and makes a great morning or afternoon trip.

Explore Other Puglia Destinations

Bari is the capital of Puglia and definitely worth a visit before or after our wedding. It's easy to train to from Ostuni, and you can fly into Bari from most international/ domestic airports.We'd recommend staying in Bari Vecchia (old town). Weve attached a travel blog with lots of good tips for exploring Bari! In our opinion this is a do not miss place. You really only need 1-2 days there
