Some connections feel effortless, as though the universe quietly nudged two people in the right direction. For Natasha and Dylan, that nudge came on a cool Halloween night in 2012 at Michigan State University. It was an evening neither of them had planned to celebrate. And it was in a crowded hallway where Dylan saw Natasha, made his move with a mischievous smile, and delivered the line that sparked a burst of laughter and a lifetime of chemistry.
Upon meeting, in true rom-com fashion, Dylan timed a playful shoulder bump in the hallway and, with a cheeky grin, delivered the line: “Girl, what you doing standing in the middle of my way?” Natasha laughed. And just like that, a connection was born. A connection defined by humor, mischief, and an unspoken language only the two of them understand.
They fell hard and fast at 20 and 21, bonding over music, creativity, and laughter - their foundational pillars. From laughing at tv shows and laying around the house to transformative music festival moments, they found themselves growing together, one unforgettable beat at a time. They’ll never forget the flashes, amidst the swirl of lights and melodies, that they would lock their eyes and think quietly: This might be it. I just met my match.
But love, especially young love, requires space to grow. In 2015, Natasha moved to Denver on a path of self-discovery, connection with family and the pursuit of her brilliant design career… while Dylan poured his soul into music in Grand Rapids. Though they paused their romantic chapter, they never drifted apart. The calls, the visits, the internal monologue asking “is this still my person?” it all lingered, quietly stitching them together across the miles.
Then, in 2016, Dylan made a bold decision to move to Colorado. Chasing a new career opportunity (and the possibilities of Colorado’s creative scene) with guitar, snowboard and his dog, Dominus in tow. He and Natasha reunited cautiously, letting time do its tender work. A year later, their love reignited in full force. This time, they both knew: This isn’t just a reunion. This is the rest of our lives.
In March of 2023, the next chapter of their story was written in the sands of Hanalei Bay, Hawaii. Dylan, knowing that proposing to Natasha had to be nothing short of fabulous, took her to a private dinner. The original plan included a sunset boat ride that ended up falling through at the last minute. Like many moments in their relationship, improvisation led to something even more meaningful. Natasha had long joked that she wasn't “a proposal on a hike kind of lady” so the elegant setting and intimate atmosphere became the perfect stage. Letting the moment speak for itself, Dylan proposed to Natasha over dinner, marking the beginning of their forever.
Now in 2025, living with their pup Huxley, in a home filled with laughter, art, music and the best home-styled voibe ever curated. Natasha and Dylan prepare to say “I do.” Because when you’re marrying your best friend, your creative counterpart, and the person who once bumped into you in a crowded hallway - you’re not just writing vows. You’re living a story that was always meant to be written.
