I had the pleasure of meeting Neylan when she joined the aquatic ecology lab I was working at in Miami, Florida. We shared some unforgettable experiences, from airboating through the Everglades to hunting pythons in the middle of the night. I've since moved to Portland, Oregon so that I can be 300 miles away from her instead of 3,000!

Neylan and I met in Miami after both moving across the country following college graduation to pursue a wildlife career. She quickly became one of my best friends as we navigated tough lessons, experienced countless firsts, and created unforgettable memories wrangling Everglades creatures!

The epitome of a man. I heard myths of Morgan in high school but never fully came to know the legend until we were teammates in college. The well of stories never runs dry and the amazing part is how they’re all true—mostly ;) he’s a craftsman and a crafter of men.

I actually married Santos before I married Neylan. But instead of the groom 2.0 I was the officiant. Teammates at Idaho and blood brothers (gruesome twosome) in the steeplechase. One more steeple to go! (Jk we’re not getting married in a church building…)

Fellow Capital Eagle and Idaho Vandal, Drew is a homie through and through. Long runs and expeditions to mountains and lakes have only brought us closer. "Men craft things for me."

the neighbor’s yard sale brought us together. While our parents talked about real estate, we got on the sticks for some Halo multiplayer. From then on it was church camps, tacos (Jack in the Box or homemade), and late night drives in whatever sweet car he hustled for.

Attended the Ambrose School (aka Hogwarts Northwest) with Nathan starting in 5th grade. Served with him in a variety of high intensity (Nerf, AirSoft, and Paintball) conflicts from the mid-2000s to the late 2010s. Shared a cell with him in Block 200 of the Wallace prison dormitory complex at the University of Idaho

Kevin and I met in 4th grade. We bonded over Star Wars Battlefront, Runescape, Halo, GI Joes, legos, and shooting airsoft guns at golfers from the roof of his house. We lived and died a thousand lives before we turned 18 and I truly believe this mimicry made us more courageous. If you want to see us cry, play "The Blues" by Switchfoot.
