**Within Walking Distance to Halekulani Hotel
**Musubi Cafe Iyasume - solid musubi spot, there's a couple around the island.
**House Without a Key - Inside the hotel, great sunset views, cocktails, live music, and upscale Hawaiian food. Reservation needed.
**Roy's Waikiki - High end chain, Hawaiian fusion food. Reservation needed.
**Tim Ho Wan - Closest dim sum
**Doraku - Trendy Japanese, sushi and small plates.
**Duke's Waikiki and Hula Grill - Beachfront location, solid American food, definitely eat the Hula Pie. No Reservations allowed, walk up only.
**Maui Brewing Company - Big venue, bar food along with Maui beer. Good place to chill in the middle of Waikiki. Reservations needed.
**Island Vintage Shaved Ice - Our favorite shaved ice.
**Matcha Stand Maiko - Green Tea ice cream.
**Kona Coffee Purveyors - Kona coffee will change your LIFE.
**Island Vintage Coffee - Go for the Acai bowl.
Onoya Ramen - Our favorite ramen spot.
Le's Banh Mi - Dare we say, best banh mi ever?
Legends Seafood & Fook Lam - Great dim sum spots in Chinatown.
Foodland Farms - Best Poke and best value on island! Get a poke bowl for $8. Get a perfect bento for the beach here too. Make sure to go to Foodland FARMS.
Mitch's Seafood - Our favorite sushi joint. Pricey but worth it. Reservation needed.
Coco's Curry - If you know, you know. hearty Japanese curry.
Rigo Spanish/Italian - Tapas.
Zippy's - All over the island, the standard for Hawaiian food.
Honolulu Coffee Experience - Kind of like a Starbucks Reserve.
DECK - Great sunset view of Diamond Head, good American food. Reservation needed.
Waiola Shaved Ice - Famous Hawaiian shaved ice.
KCC and Kakaako Farmer's Market - Fun place to walk through on Saturday mornings only.
Boots and Kimo - Pancakes and breakfast food with a Hawaiian twist.
Nalu - Our favorite Acai bowl.
Punchbowl National Cemetery - Military cemetery inside of a crater with great views of the city.
China Walls - Views of lava rocks and cliffs.
Nu'uanu Pali Lookout - Great high up views of Kaneohe Bay/ Northern Oahu.
Tantalus Lookout - Highly recommended views of the entire southern part of the island, from Diamond Head all the way to Pearl Harbor.
Spitting Cave - Great sunset, with a minor hike.
Makapuu Beach Park - Great for photos of the lava rocks and beach.
Halona Blowhole Lookout - Blowhole from lava tubes shoots water into the sky.
Diamond Head Trail - 2 mile loop, pretty much stairs straight up. Reservations required, can get crowded, would highly recommend walking between the ocean and Diamondhead, use Amelia Earhart's Marker as a place to visit.
Lighthouse Trail - Easy 2 mile loop along pavement. No shade on trail, suggest sunrise or sunset hike.
Lanikai Pillbox - Steep hike, but totally worth the views. Scenic overlook of Lanikai beach, can be as short as a 2 mile loop, depending on how many pillboxes you want to see.
Koko Crater Trail - Very Steep uphill climb, Very popular, about 2 mile loop.
Hanauma Bay Ridge Hike - Moderate paved hike, about 2.5 mile loop.
Manoa Falls Trail - Shaded hike, about 2 mile round trip, pretty steep and slippery, but worth it. Bring bug spray.
Magic Island/Ala Moana Beach - Big beach, very chill, lots of locals. Perfect for paddle boarding and swimming. Kid friendly.
Bellows/Waimanalo Beach - Soft sand beach, best beach for boogie boarding.
Ko Olina - great beach to just hang out, big resort area. This is where the Disney Aulani Resort is. Parking is limited, try for Lagoon 4.
Waimea Bay Beach - Popular North Shore Beach
Lanikai Beach - Great views of Northern Oahu, very chill. parking sucks, so you should park at Kailua Beach and walk.
Lanikea Beach - On the way to North Shore, lots of turtle sightings.
**Ala Moana Shopping Center - Big mall with lots to offer.
**Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center - High end shopping.
Byodo-In Temple - Exact replica of a traditional Japanese temple.
Hoomaluhia Botanical Garden - Big drive-thru botanical garden.
Pearl Harbor National Memorial - the museum is free and can be entered at any time, reservation needed to see the Arizona Memorial.
Navy Exchange Mall - CAC required to shop.
Kualoa Ranch - Popular filming location (Jurassic Park, Jumanji, etc) offering ATV tours. Advanced booking required.
Ward Village - Quiant shopping and food plaza. DAVE AND BUSTERS!
Bishop Museum - Thorough Hawaiian history museum.
Polynesian Cultural Center
Dole Plantation - Fun place to let the kids run around, Dole Whip!
Iolani Palace - Royal Hawaiian Palace.
