Matt and I have been friends since infancy, growing up together in church and just a few blocks apart. We spent so much time together that he practically became my mom’s ninth child—my third brother. There are countless stories I could share (some better left untold), but what matters most is the bond we’ve built over the years. Today, Matt is a devoted husband to Julie and a loving father to their two children. His dad, Charles, was a true father figure to me, always taking us golfing and fishing while entertaining us with wild stories from his past. Seeing the love and dedication Charles had for his family, I always knew Matt would follow in his footsteps. His unwavering support for his family is proof of the incredible man he has become. There’s no way I could get married without Matt by my side as my Best Man. We’ve always been there for each other through life’s toughest moments, and I am beyond grateful to have him standing with me on my wedding day.

Nicole has been my rock, my cheerleader, and my partner in countless adventures. Her kind heart, infectious energy, and unwavering support have been constants in my life. From going to the golf clinic together as little girls to riding around backroads in college she has been by my side. As my maid of honor, she is bringing her signature warmth and thoughtfulness to our special day and I could not imagine standing up here without her by my side.

Shane and I first met in high school at Gospel Light, where we played varsity basketball together for a year. However, our friendship truly deepened after high school. We try to hit the golf course as often as possible—though never as much as we’d like. Among our friend group, Shane is undoubtedly the best golfer (but I’m closing in on him). He and his wife, Kayla, are incredible parents to their three children, and it’s inspiring to see how they engage with them. Shane is one of the hardest-working people I know, always striving to provide for his family. I’m grateful that he’s here to celebrate this special day with me.

Keeley has been by my side since childhood. She is the most genuine and fun loving person I know. Her laughter is contagious, and her loyalty knows no bounds. She has been such an important part of my life since we were babies, and I am so grateful to have her as one of my bridesmaids on this special day.

Zach and I first met in high school and grew closer through countless basketball games until we graduated in 2011. He’s one of those naturally talented people who excels at everything he does, which always pushes my competitive side to try to outdo him (though I usually fall short). Over the years, we’ve made so many great memories together—from beach trips and ski adventures to rounds of golf and laid-back evenings at home, just talking about nothing in particular. Zach and his wife, Hannah, have a young son, Silas, who is likely destined for soccer stardom if his dad has anything to do with it. I don’t let many people into my inner circle, but Zach has been a constant in my life, and I couldn’t imagine my wedding day without him.

Chels is one of my dearest friends and someone who brings so much warmth and laughter wherever she goes. Whether it’s spontaneous adventures, late-night chats, or just sharing a good cup of coffee, Chelsy has been a constant source of love and support. I’m so grateful to have her by my side for this special moment—she’s truly one of a kind, and I can’t imagine this day without her!

Alex is my younger brother and one of my seven siblings, but he’s so much more than that. When I think of what it means to be a great man, I think of him. His growth over the years has been nothing short of inspiring, as he’s faced and overcome challenges that many wouldn’t dare to imagine. He’s one of the smartest people I’ve ever met, capable of achieving anything he sets his mind to. I can’t wait to see where God leads him on his journey through life. Ever since we were kids, I’ve always known I wanted him by my side on my wedding day, and I’m honored to have him here with me.

Charity and I met in the Emergency Department as nurses. When I moved to North Carolina and started my nursing career I didnt know anyone in the hospital. But Charity's infectious smile and vibrant energy drew me right to her and I knew we were going to make best of friends. Char, thank you for being there to support us on our special day. I couldn't do it without you.
