Q + A

Will there be an open bar?

We know what you came to this page for... the answer is yes.

Can I bring my kids with me to the wedding?

We love and adore your kids, however, to give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

We kindly ask for guests to arrive at 4 p.m. for our ceremony. This will allow for everyone to get settled in and find a spot!

Can I use my phone during the ceremony to take pictures and videos?

We are having an 'unplugged ceremony' meaning we ask for no phones or cameras. We've hired a professional photographer and videographer to capture these once in a lifetime moments, and we will share pictures and videos with guests once we have received them. Please feel free to use your phones before the ceremony or during the reception. If you're going to post on social media, tag us! We'd love to see what you captured of our special day from your perspective.

What is the weather like in San Juan during the time of the wedding?

You can expect sunny with low humidity and temperatures ranging between mid-70 to 80 degrees. The perfect weather for hitting the beach!

Do I need a passport to travel to the island?

All you need is a valid drivers license, real ID or identification accepted by TSA. Puerto Rico is a US territory and travel will be similar to any domestic flight in the United States.

What should I consider when booking my flight?

The sooner you book your flight, the better to avoid airfare price hikes. The best time to purchase a flight is 2 - 6 months before your travel date. We also recommend if you're coming from a smaller city to consider flying to a larger hub first such as, Chicago, New York, or Miami, to then travel to San Juan to provide more flexibility with travel times.

Where should I stay when I'm in San Juan?

The San Juan Marriott & Stellaris Casino doubles as the wedding venue and hotel room block provider! Check out our special rate and booking link in the 'Travel' section. The San Juan area also has lots of other hotel and Airbnb options as well if you find those will better suit your needs.

If I'm not staying at the San Juan Marriott & Stellaris Casino, how can I get to the wedding?

San Juan has lots of rideshare options such as Uber, Lyft and taxis. We'd highly recommend this option especially if you plan to pay a visit to the open bar. For those renting a car and will be driving to the ceremony, the San Juan Marriott & Stellaris Casino does have a parking garage available for our guests to park in.

How long should I stay in San Juan?

We recommend for guests that are not part of the wedding party to arrive Friday, January 17th at the very latest to give yourself time to settle in. The wedding does take place over the MLK weekend so please feel free to stay as long as you would like or arrive early. We want everyone to feel like they are on vacation!
