One of our favorite things about South Louisiana is the many many beautiful historic churches. For those traveling (even if it’s just to the north shore) we hope you can take the time to explore a few of these holy places!
We hold a special place in our hearts for Saint Joseph Abbey, and we encourage you to visit while you're in town. Nestled along the river, the Abbey features stunning grounds, a magnificent church, and a serene cemetery. There’s also a gift shop where you can find homemade soaps, candies, and a variety of religious gifts to support this beautiful community.
One of Nick and Sarah's favorite churches in the Archdiocese. Just one of the many historical and gorgeous churches in New Orleans.
Sarah's home parish and the church where we will say out vows on Saturday!
Nick's home parish in the heart of Metairie!
Visit the beautiful national shrine to Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos located at St. Mary Assumption Parish in New Orleans.
The Cathedral-Basilica of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. When Nick + Sarah met, Sarah was often a lector at the Cathedral. Fun fact: our families met for the first time here. After your visit you can walk across the street to Cafe Du Monde for some classic NOLA beignets.
