We met in January 2020 while Nick was attending his second year of law school at Chapman University and living in Newport Beach. I was living in West Hollywood and starting my career at Morgan Stanley.
Our love of music brought us together. I met our mutual friend, Erinn, at a music festival in San Diego. Shortly after, she introduced me to Nick by inviting him to a concert we were both going to. Little did I know, Nick had been begging her to introduce him to "her new blonde friend" for weeks.
From that concert on, we spent every single weekend together, going to concerts, festivals, brunches, anywhere and everywhere. Us living over an hour apart never got in the way.
Then March 2020 hit.. Nick's school went completely online and I became fully remote. So naturally, Nick pretty much moved into my townhome with me (sorry Jess and Rox).
As our relationship grew stronger and stronger, we decided to get a puppy. We got Aspen on Valentines Day in 2021 and I truly felt like I had my own little family from then on. We moved into our first apartment together in Pasadena that summer right after Nick took the Bar and began his career in San Bernardino.
A couple of job switches later, Nick is now pursuing his dream of being a criminal prosecutor in Long Beach and I still work in Beverly Hills as a financial planner. This puts us where we are now, in Marina Del Rey.
Our love of music, food, the ocean, and traveling always brings us together. In May 2023, while we were traveling through Europe, Nick proposed to me on a boat overlooking the Positano coastline. It was pouring rain that day, and Nick had never been so stressed (usually I'm the stress case). I knew something was up when the captain called to ask us if we wanted to cancel our private boat ride and Nick insisted we still go. Luckily, the weather cleared up and Nick was able to execute the most beautiful proposal I will always remember.
With love,
Jess
