Nicholas had been attending St. Patrick Church in Providence, RI a few years before Kayla arrived. Kayla came to St. Pat’s and they met doing ministry together. During this time, they were not very close. One time, Nicholas volunteered for kids group because Kayla was leading it, and he thought she was cute. He didn’t realize he did it cause she was cute. He didn’t really know how he felt about her yet. She was definitely very aware of how she was feeling about him, though. She would let nothing get in the way of pursuing him.…not even an elevator door🚪🏃‍♀️💨 One night, Kayla and Nicholas were alone together, and he spilled the beans. Talking about music, Kayla said, “I like K Love” and Nicholas blurted out “I like Kayla.” With a smile, Kayla sweetly said, “I like Nicholas.” This wasn’t a Disney fairy tale, though. 🥲 Nicholas didn’t feel ready, and he made Kayla wait 10 years…😡 I mean 3 months 🤪… before asking her out. He asked Kayla out in the St Pat’s parking lot, and Kayla said “Finally!!” 🤩 They dated for 8 months before Nicholas popped the question on Easter! 💍 Over the next 6 months, there was talk with family, friends, and Father Brice. There was prayer and discernment. And then, the two lovebirds 🕊️🕊️ came together to choose October 4th, 2025 for their wedding date. 🎉🥳
