Our Wedding

Nicholas had been attending St. Patrick Church in Providence, RI a few years before Kayla arrived. Kayla came to St. Pat’s and they met doing ministry together. During this time, they were not very close. One time, Nicholas volunteered for kids group because Kayla was leading it, and he thought she was cute. He didn’t realize he did it cause she was cute. He didn’t really know how he felt about her yet. She was definitely very aware of how she was feeling about him, though. She would let nothing get in the way of pursuing him.…not even an elevator door🚪🏃‍♀️💨 One night, Kayla and Nicholas were alone together, and he spilled the beans. Talking about music, Kayla said, “I like K Love” and Nicholas blurted out “I like Kayla.” With a smile, Kayla sweetly said, “I like Nicholas.” This wasn’t a Disney fairy tale, though. 🥲 Nicholas didn’t feel ready, and he made Kayla wait 10 years…😡 I mean 3 months 🤪… before asking her out. He asked Kayla out in the St Pat’s parking lot, and Kayla said “Finally!!” 🤩 They dated for 8 months before Nicholas popped the question on Easter! 💍 Over the next 6 months, there was talk with family, friends, and Father Brice. There was prayer and discernment. And then, the two lovebirds 🕊️🕊️ came together to choose October 4th, 2025 for their wedding date. 🎉🥳

From the minute Grace and Kayla met at St. Pats, they clicked instantly. She is one of Kayla's closest friends. Their friendship blossomed when Kayla was also diagnosed with Chronic Lyme Disease in 2024. Their friendship grew deeper as they were able to share their journey through suffering, healing, and authentic sisterhood. 
Grace is one of Kayla's most creative friends. She is a great listener and has an eye for detail. Kayla also loves listening to Grace sing and act as Maria from West Side Story. Grace is always looking forward to doing Kayla's nails and making her coffee! Grace and Kayla share a deep personal connection. Through prayer and discernment, it became very clear to Kayla that she was called to be her maid of honor alongside her sister-in-law Raquel!

Grace Cuellar

Raquel is also one of Kayla's closest friends. She couldn't just choose one Maid of Honor! Raquel and Grace are both Maids of Honors AND sister-in-laws! Raquel has been nothing but a beacon of light and hope for Kayla. She has helped Kayla build confidence in her true identity of a daughter of Christ. She also helped Kayla discern if Nick was her future husband. 
Raquel has a faithful and joyful heart. She is easy to be around and one of the funniest, most genuine people Kayla has ever met. Raquel and her husband, Alex have been a living example of bearing fruit in a marriage. They have been Kayla and Nick's inspiration and the people they go to for advice. Raquel and Alex have played a huge part in Kayla and Nick's devotion to the Catholic faith. 

Raquel Cuellar

Stephanie is Kayla's younger sister. She is a full-time nanny so even though Kayla doesn't see Stephanie often, she always misses her. Kayla and Stephanie were close during their childhood and still share a love of coffee and babies. Stephanie and Kayla have been through so much together and can always count on each other for emotional support. Kayla admires Stephanie's resilient, hard-working, bold, and nurturing personality. Kayla thinks Stephanie is witty, even though she doesn't tell her often. Stephanie is creative, has an eye for detail, and will take care of Kayla for her special day. She has never left Kayla's side. 

Stephanie Kelliher

Jessica is Nick's older sister. She is funny, energetic, and outgoing. She is a joy to be around and has gotten to know her future sister-in-law quite well. Jessica loves spending time with her family and loves watching movies with Kayla. Jessica and Kayla share the same taste in movies and TV shows. She was so thrilled when Kayla asked her to be a bridesmaid. Kayla values her new family and wants to share her special life with Jessica and the rest of her family. She will be a joy in the wedding party. It has been a privilege for Kayla to get to know her new sister! 

Jessica Rodrigues 

Jess and Kayla have been close friends for a long time. They have spent a lot of time together doing ministry, going to women's bible study, playing with her nephew, Mateo, and making really bad jokes and then convincing themselves they're funny. Kayla has watched Jess grow so much in holiness. Kayla has gotten to know Jess' family, especially her brothers, Henry and Alex very well. From coffee runs, to seeking emotional support, to walking around Providence, Jess and Kayla have done it all. Kayla's most fond memories of Jess was watching her grow as a youth group leader and being one of the most loyal friends she has. 

Jessica Garcia

Anna and Kayla very quickly became friends when they met. Kayla loves Anna's big family, especially her little brother, Matthew. Kayla admires Anna's work ethic in real estate greatly. As they got to know each other, they realized they were getting married around the same time!! They have been so excited to talk about wedding plans with each other! They are so excited to get married to their amazing fíances! Anna has helped Kayla grow so much spiritually and has helped her to be the virtuous wife she will one day be. Kayla very quickly realized that Anna would be a perfect fit in her bridal party.

Marianna Cote

Kayla has nothing but amazing things to say about Deisy. She is so honored to be friends with a future saint! Deisy has been there for Kayla since they met. She is Kayla's prayer warrior and has been completely selfless. Kayla admires how much of a devout Catholic Deisy despite how young she is. She has been nothing but a source of inspiration, light, and the person who has helped Kayla hold onto Christ. She is hilarious, humble, honest, and has the faith of a child of God. She has worked with Kayla for several years in youth ministry, kids ministry and music ministry. Deisy has helped Kayla with discernment and was so encouraging when she was discerning if she was called to marry Nick. Kayla does not know anyone else who spends more time in the adoration chapel. She is certain Deisy will be a saint one day. 

Deisy Estrada 

Tom Barnett met Nick at St. Patrick's Church around 2020. He's originally from New Jersey, and graduated from Providence College. He was on the cycling team there and was a professional cyclist. He is a salesman at LeafFilter, and uses his persuasive skills to earn sales and win souls for Christ. His strong leadership in the Faith has helped form Nick as a man. He's a very funny, makes the best triple puns, false origin stories, song parodies, and will get everyone he's ever met a gift every Christmas. He is Don Emeritus of the San Andreni Crime Family, and undercover arms dealer for Memere's Rosaries Inc.

Thomas Barnett

Leo is a friend Nick met at St. Patrick's Church, as well. Many people know Leo as an extremely-gifted songbird and guitar virtuoso, or a Messi-like soccer player. He also has a heart that has grown deeply in love with Christ, so much so that he is now a missionary at Damascus Catholic Center in Ohio. He is using his time and talents to lead worship and souls to Jesus.

Leonardo Ampuero

Alex Garcia met Nick at, you guessed it! St. Pat's. He is so full of joy, and gave Nick a big hug the first time he met him. He lived with Nick for a year at a Catholic discernment house called the St. Andrew House. He was infamously known as the Enforcer, and carried a baseball bat wherever he went. He is married to his wife, Kateri, and they have a baby boy named Mateo.

Alex Garcia 

Dan ‘the Man’ Simonds met Nick on the Tennis Team in High School. He was Nick's closest friend. He is originally from the East Bay, but now is closer to the Bay in Cali with his bae, Maria. Nick was a groomsman in his wedding in 2021, and was the honorary sixth man, like Jamal Crawford. Dan is now coming off the bench at the Venice Beach court, and getting in the game for Nick's big day.

Daniel Simonds

Alex Cuellar met Nick at you know where. He is married to Raquel, and has two girls, Violet and Lily, who will be featured as flower girls. He is a great friend and disciple of Christ, who has taken Nick under his wing, and they're becoming best friends. He's currently giving the groom some funkadelic bass lessons right now. He started Providence Music, and is a worship leader and songwriter. He works at Holy Cross Ministries. He is one of 7 siblings. He loves fine dining at Dunkie's.

Alex Cuellar

Pablo met Nick. He is a deep thinker, like Nick, and shares his love of psychology. They have great in-depth conversations about this, as well as their Faith. He is also quite a jokester, making many a dad-joke. You have to watch out or he will roast you. He is married to his wife, Briana, and has three boys, named Ezra, Ronan, and Pablo Jr. He works at Refocus Inc with Nick. He enjoys rock-climbing and outdoor excursions with the boys.

Pablo Jimenez

Tim is another great friend in the Faith who found his way to St. Pat's a little before Nick did. They were both the new guys on the streets. He's very energetic and talkative, which combines well with Nick's quiet and laid-back personality. He is a software engineer who knows Muy Thai, and has an unlimited amount of hot sauces.

Timothy Campbell

Chris is Kayla’s brother. He likes soccer and traveling. Nick has spent time with Chris at family gatherings, and is happy to have a new brother-in-law.

Christopher Kelliher 

Charlie is another brother of Kayla who inherited a chocolate factory from Willy Wonka. He is a talented artist and a rookie soccer player. He is a funny guy, who loves playing Hockey Soccer, and challenging himself to the Sitting Championship.

Konstantinos "Charlie" Stavroulakis 

Mateo is Alex and Kateri Garcia’s son. Kayla loves babies, and thought Mateo would be very cute bringing up our rings. 

Mateo Garcia

Anyone who knows Kayla knows that she loves babies! It was a MUST her friends' children were added to the bridal party! Lily is Raquel and Alex's youngest daughter. She is so cute and Kayla loves holding her. Kayla loves how Lily likes to talk to Father Brice in mass during his homilies. Kayla warns the Cuellars that she will steal her one day. She will be a sweet and adorable addition to the Kelliher/Rodrigues wedding!

Lily Cuellar

Kayla has adored watching Violet grow up. Violet is Lily's older sister. Kayla loves how she always associates Kayla as "Kayla and Nick". She knows the two are inseparable. Kayla loves Violet's nurturing, sassy, and sociable personality. Violet is the daughter of two of Nick and Kayla's closet friends. Violet and her sister Lily, will be walking down the aisle together--the perfect pair!
