In 2018 Jonathan and Nicholle joined "Bumble", an online application for meeting other suitors.
Nicholle was intrigued by Jonathan's profile. He noted similar interests and aspirations in his biography, and she liked that he had posted photos of him with his family. So, she "swiped right" to show her interest.
Jonathan was intrigued by Nicholle's profile. He was drawn in to her eyes, smile, and was also intrigued by a photo of her in a little black dress! So he also "swiped right".
Nicholle initiated conversation with Jonathan and they got to know each other a little bit more. They exchanged phone numbers, taking conversations outside of the platform, and eventually Nicholle mustered up the courage to ask Jonathan out for a coffee!
Jonathan insisted Nicholle get the fanciest coffee available at the shop (A rainbow latte? A S'mores latte?) But Nicholle wasn't interested in all the bells and whistles of being wined and dined, she was down to business scoping the chances of a serious relationship with this handsome fellow.
They meshed very well and since they shared common interests and the same intentions so they continued to meet, spending lots of time together around the Waterfront and Toronto Islands.
After 4.5 years of dating, 3.5 years of that spent living together
(2 of which were during COVID and they STILL loved each other), Jonathan mustered up the courage to ask Nicholle to spend the rest of her life with him and proposed to her in a plane over Niagara Falls.
And the rest is history!
