Nick and Jade hadn’t interacted other than likes on Instagram photos or favourited tweets but luckily, the fact that Jade has no problem embarrassing herself led to the happy couple coming together.

An old friend of Jade’s would constantly post videos of Jade dancing, singing, joking and being silly on social media and Nick would see them.

These were really unflattering of the Bride, but Nick would reply to a lot of them saying how cute and funny he thought Jade was. Finally the friend gave Jade’s information to Nick, and they began talking every day.

On August 9th, 2018, exactly 3 years after the pizza place and after texting and video chatting for a few weeks, Jade flew home from a family vacation and couldn’t wait to hangout with Nick the next day. They hung out, had a wonderful night together, shared their first kiss, and they basically never stopped hanging out after that.

Nick and Jade became “instagram official”, real life official, and fell in love.

October 14th, 2023, the day they got engaged.

Nick had recruited Tristia, Jade’s Maid of Honour, and a professional photographer to assist him on the day of the proposal.

Photoshoots were something Tristia and Jade had done together multiple times before, so when Tristia asked Jade to do a fall shoot, she didn’t think anything of it. Nick headed to the trail 30 minutes before Jade and Tristia, anxious about everything turning out right, but mostly excited.

Before Jade came down the trail, Nick hid quietly in a bush, and waited for Jade to arrive. He stepped out right as Jade was about to pose for a photo, and then giggled as Jade’s jaw dropped and emotions started to spill out of her.

“Hi Nicky”, Jade sobbed.
“Tell me when you’re ready” said Nick as he laughed.
“I’m ready, I’m ready, I’m ready” Jade assured him while taking a deep breath.

“From the moment I met you, I’ve wanted to be by your side, and I want that for the rest of my life.”
