We met in April of 2014 in Los Angeles, California. At the time, Sean was on vacation visiting from Boston. Nicki had come down from San Jose to see her friends from college before moving back to NYC- her childhood home. It is thanks to our friends Jeremy and Bailey that we met at dinner on the last night of that trip.

We stayed in touch and on August 12th, 2014 we had our first date in NYC. We spent the day exploring the city and visiting Coney Island. We had such a good time that a few days later we decided to go camping together with Sean’s friends in Vermont. It rained the whole time and several of our friends were violently ill. Despite all that, it was a wonderful time and marked the beginning our journey together.

After 3 and ½ years of dating between Boston/Rhode Island and NYC, Sean decided to take the plunge and move to the Big Apple. We got a cozy studio together and Nicki soon filled it with furry friends. 7 and ½ years later, still cozy in our new slightly bigger home with our two cats and a bit more sunlight. This past Christmas when we flew down to Florida to visit Nicki’s Dad. On December 23rd, 2021, against all odds Sean managed to get Nicki out to a beautiful little beach and asked if she wanted to get married at last! That brings us to today- and we are so excited to bring our friends and family together to celebrate this special day with us.
