Josh and Nikkis love story officially started back in 2021, while Josh was living with their mutual friend, Brooke. Every time Nikki would come over, it was obvious there was chemistry between the two of them. They often found themselves gravitating towards each other during group hang outs, from late nights at Thrusters, to Oktoberfest in OB to the La Jolla Wine festival. Brooke and Nikki ended up becoming roommates and moved into a house together in September of 2021. The landlord had told the girls that she called the house the “wedding house” because all of her past tenants had met their future husbands and either got married or engaged while living in that house. Brooke and Nikki were both single at the time and were praying for a miracle! It wasn’t until October 29, 2021, Josh came over to hangout on a Friday night... and everything changed. Nikki and Josh ended up spending every waking moment that weekend together. From watching movies and making delicious meals to running errands together, the two were inseparable. And theyve been inseparable ever since.

Josh asked Nikki to be his girlfriend at their special secret beach spot in Bird Rock CA on Valentine’s Day 2022. Their relationship grew over endless camping trips in Burnt Rancheria and Joshua Tree, playing games down at the beach, weekend trips to Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead with friends, traveling to Maryland for Christmas (with not the best of travel luck for Josh) to family vacations in the Outer Banks & Oceanside, incredible concerts, to ultimately finding their wedding venue in Big Sur, their relationship has been nothing short of an adventure filled with so much love.

In April 2024, Josh planned their biggest adventure together yet- his proposal to Nikki. Josh knew what and who matters most to Nikki and planned to surprise her with her closest family and friends after proposing to her at their special place. Nikki’s best friends from high school were visiting her in San Diego at the time, so Nikki was taking them all around while Josh was scheming the proposal behind the scenes. On Saturday morning April 6, 2024, Nikki took her friends to brunch in Bird Rock. While the girls were enjoying their girls day, Josh was setting up a beautiful scene at their secret spot in Bird Rock where he had asked Nikki to be his girlfriend two years prior. Her friends pretended to want to see this place since they were so close by, and as Nikki got out of the car, she turned to see Josh waiting there for her with flowers. He led her down to their place on the beach and he got down on one knee in an intimate moment with just the two of them - while her best friends and cameraman/brother, Joe, waited nearby. After shedding some tears and downing some champagne, Josh brought her home to a surprise party with her closest family and friends who he had gathered from all over the country. They can’t wait to celebrate and have the best day of their lives with all their friends and family in Big Sur this August. 💕
