Steven and Nikki first met back in 2017 when both were volunteering as EMT's at Port Jefferson EMS. The two chatted occasionally and remained friends while each were continuing on their own educational and professional journeys. In 2019, Steven returned back to NY after being away in Michigan for graduate school. The two started talking more frequently and eventually, Nikki agreed to go on a date. It was after sharing their first kiss that Nikki and Steven knew they were meant for each other. The two officially started dating on June 28, 2019, a date that is very sentimental to them. Steven proposed to his wannabe Mermaid in 2022 and the rest is history. Now, exactly 5 years after they started dating, Steven and Nikki are looking to tie the knot.
