Nicole and Alex’s story began during the spring of their freshman year at the University of Tennessee, in a classroom filled with stars—literally. It was astronomy class, and fate intervened when Nicole invited Alex to sit with her. What started as casual study sessions (and extra credit events Alex technically never turned in) quickly turned into something more. They spent hours in the library “studying,” but the real focus was always each other.

Just a few months later, on April 11, 2018—after a Grease vs. Greece themed sorority date party—they made it official, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. By the time they say “I do,” Nicole and Alex will have shared seven incredible years together.

After graduating from Tennessee, they packed up their lives and moved to Denver, Colorado, ready to take on the next chapter hand in hand. Nicole pursued her master’s degree in clinical psychology while Alex dove into his “big boy” job, and somewhere along the way, their family grew by two adorable cats: Indy and Gravy.

Then, on July 5, 2022, Alex proposed on Fort Myers beach in Florida, surrounded by family. The day began with rain, but just as he got down on one knee, the clouds parted and the sun broke through—a perfect, almost magical moment that felt like the universe saying, “Yes.”

Once Nicole completed her master’s program, the long-awaited wedding planning began, and now, they’re counting down the days to finally make it official after what feels like a lifetime of dreaming about this moment.

What makes their love story so special isn’t just the time they’ve spent together—but how they’ve grown together. From their college days to building a life in Colorado, they’ve supported one another through every high and low.
