Nicole and Alex’s story began during the spring of their freshman year at the University of Tennessee, in a classroom filled with stars—literally. It was astronomy class, and fate intervened when Nicole invited Alex to sit with her. What started as casual study sessions (and extra credit events Alex technically never turned in) quickly turned into something more. They spent hours in the library “studying,” but the real focus was always each other.Just a few months later, on April 11, 2018—after a Grease vs. Greece themed sorority date party—they made it official, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. By the time they say “I do,” Nicole and Alex will have shared seven incredible years together.After graduating from Tennessee, they packed up their lives and moved to Denver, Colorado, ready to take on the next chapter hand in hand. Nicole pursued her master’s degree in clinical psychology while Alex dove into his “big boy” job, and somewhere along the way, their family grew by two adorable cats: Indy and Gravy.Then, on July 5, 2022, Alex proposed on Fort Myers beach in Florida, surrounded by family. The day began with rain, but just as he got down on one knee, the clouds parted and the sun broke through—a perfect, almost magical moment that felt like the universe saying, “Yes.”Once Nicole completed her master’s program, the long-awaited wedding planning began, and now, they’re counting down the days to finally make it official after what feels like a lifetime of dreaming about this moment.What makes their love story so special isn’t just the time they’ve spent together—but how they’ve grown together. From their college days to building a life in Colorado, they’ve supported one another through every high and low. They’ve built a relationship rooted in friendship, laughter, patience, and unwavering love. And after all these years, their bond is stronger than ever—with the best still yet to come.

Nick has been a constant in Alex’s life since they met on the soccer field at age six. From day one, Alex’s dad affectionately dubbed him “the most interesting man in the world”—a title he’s only grown into more over time. Through a shared love of sports, video games, and a talent for pushing boundaries just enough to keep things entertaining, Nick and Alex have built a lifelong friendship full of laughter and loyalty.

When it came time to choose someone to officiate their wedding, Nicole and Alex knew there was no one else who could do the job quite like Nick. He knows them both so well, brings humor and heart wherever he goes, and means the world to them. They can’t imagine saying “I do” without him by their side.

I still remember when she finally admitted that all those late-night “study” sessions at the library for astronomy were actually just an excuse to hang out with Hardie. Safe to say, it all worked out pretty well!“

“I’ve known Alex since I can remember. I was lucky enough to go to school with him for over 12 years, and share the soccer field for the same amount of time. When looking back at some of my fondest memories of my childhood, he’s right there next to me. I was introduced to Nicole when I went up to visit Alex in Knoxville, and I could immediately see that they were perfect together, and she could keep him in line! Although we don’t live as geographically close as we once did, we always find time to see each other every year. I am honored to be apart of Alex and Nicole’s special day, and can’t wait to see this relationship continue to blossom.”

Jamie and Nicole first crossed paths while working together at Treeline Pass in Colorado, and it wasn’t long before he became one of Alex and Nicole’s closest friends. From taking care of their cats (who absolutely adored him) to always being up for adventures, Jamie has been a constant source of support and joy in their lives. His thoughtful nature, loyalty, and easygoing attitude have made him the kind of friend you can always count on.

Though Jamie now lives in Hawaii with his family, Alex and Nicole are beyond excited to have him in town celebrating with them. It’s a reminder of how much he truly means to them, and they couldn’t be happier to have him by their side on this special day.

Nicole and Ariana became best friends their freshman year of high school, bonding over countless adventures—many of which they may or may not have lied to their parents about (oops!). Early on, they made a pact: no matter who came and went in their lives, they’d always have each other. Being able to hold true to that promise all these years later, as Ariana stands beside Nicole on her wedding day, is a full-circle moment that means everything.

“I’ve been lucky to call Alex one of my best friends since college. We met during pledgeship at UT, meaning Alex & I have shared in alot of questionable decisions together. I’ve had the pleasure of watching his relationship with Nicole grow from the beginning - including a fraternity formal in New Orleans that was equal parts 3 AM pizza, overpriced drinks, and a manhunt for Ryan’s little brother. 

Even though I live in South Carolina and they’re way out in Colorado, we still talk almost daily - sharing the in misery that is being a Tennessee fan, updating each other about what’s going on in each other’s lives, and trying to sync up schedules for a rare video game session that usually ends in us yelling at the screen rather than playing the game. 

It’s been an honor to watch Alex & Nicole’s relationship over the years and I am beyond grateful to have them as friends!”

Aaron Jay has been friends with both Nicole and Alex since freshman year at the University of Tennessee. Over the years, AJ and Alex went from sharing an apartment at Evolve, to living in their fraternity house, and eventually surviving the chaos of an 11-person house on Laurel. Through it all, AJ has always been someone they could count on—for support, for a laugh, and for a good time.

“I met Nicole just a few weeks before our freshman year at Carmel Catholic HS through a track camp, and from there, we became constants in each other’s lives. We made endless memories filled with laughs, love, and unforgettable moments.

There was no one else I’d rather get into trouble with—from getting kicked out of chemistry class for nicknaming the teacher, to being rear-ended by the bride on the way to a football game, to laughing at dance-offs in the cafeteria—the good times never stopped.

Fast forward to college, and I had the privilege of visiting UT a few times and watching Nicole continue to grow into the most amazing version of herself. On one of those visits, I had the honor of meeting Alex during their freshman year, and I immediately loved him for Nicole. They’re truly a match made in heaven, with so much love and kindness for each other.

Vinny transferred to the University of Tennessee his sophomore year, just as Alex was starting his junior year. Shortly after pledging Sigma Nu, fate stepped in—Alex and his fraternity brothers were looking to add one more person to their house, and Vinny was the perfect fit. What started as a roommate arrangement quickly grew into an inseparable friendship. Alex often says that Vinny became the little brother he never had, and that bond has only deepened over the years.
Now, Vinny lives in Denver with his wonderful girlfriend, Ashley, and the four of them get to spend tons of time together—which makes having him as part of the wedding day even more special.

Nicole and Emily first met freshman year of high school in drama class, where Emily admits she was a little intimidated by Nicole—something that still makes Nicole laugh to this day. It didn’t take long before they became inseparable, the kind of best friends who constantly found themselves in the most bizarre situations that left everyone saying, “Only Nicole and Emily...”

Over the years, their friendship has been a perfect mix of hilarious chaos and heartfelt connection. Nicole is endlessly grateful to have Emily by her side—not just on the wedding day, but always.

Ryan has been part of Nicole and Alex’s lives since the very beginning—he was friends with each of them individually before they even met, which makes having him in the wedding even more special. Nicole and Ryan bonded early on over a (maybe too big) party in her freshman dorm, while Ryan and Alex were pledging the same fraternity at the time. When Nicole and Alex officially started dating, it was so much fun for their friend groups to merge and continue making college memories and traveling together. Nicole and Alex are so grateful for Ryan’s years of friendship and support, and they can’t wait to have him stand by their side on their big day!

“I met Nicole through our friend Vera in Math 119 when she invited me to lunch at Stokely with her roommate—who happened to be Nicole &lt;3. Soon after, we realized we were both in ADPi, and from that point on, we were inseparable!

We lived together in the ADPi house and later in Yellow House, making some of my favorite memories. Hardie and Nicole always took me in, letting all of us girls join their plans. Now, Sidney is a proud mama to Marlo, and I can’t wait to watch Nicole and Alex start their next chapter together. I’m so thankful I met them freshman year!”

“I’ve loved Nicole since the day I met her! One of my favorite early memories is from a fraternity week freshman year of college when I was lost and alone—Nicole immediately welcomed me (and took me to the alcohol, of course). I’ll always cherish that ADPi brought us together.

Alex has always been a king—you knew that early on! One of my favorite memories is him driving us to Georgia, true crime podcasts playing the whole way. And I’ll never forget when he saved me from my cockroach-infested apartment. You found a good one, and I couldn’t be happier for you both!

AG and Alex met through Nicole and AG’s wife, Ashley, who were college roommates and sorority sisters. When Nicole and Alex moved to Denver, Ashley and AG were the only familiar faces they had—but it didn’t take long for AG and Alex to hit it off. Bonding over shared interests, they became instant friends, spending late nights gaming, grilling up great food, and always bringing plenty of laughs. We’re so grateful for the life we’ve built in Denver and even more thankful to have AG be part of it—and now part of our wedding!

“Hi, my name is Lauren. Im a second grade teacher at St. Theresa's ACTUALLY WHERE NICOLE WENT. Something fun about me is that I played volleyball in college. Nicole and I met in high school at Carmel (health class to be specific) and became instant besties. I'm so excited for her to marry Alex...The man of her dreams!!!!”

Alex and Nolan met during pledgeship at Sigma Nu and quickly bonded over their shared love for Nirvana. Nolan was one of Alex’s first close friends in college, and from the start, they were the kind of friends who could always find a little trouble (and a lot of laughs) wherever they went. After everything they’ve been through over the years, Alex is excited and honored to have Nolan standing by his side on such an important day.
