Bird's Eye View 

North of Chile

San Pedro de Atacama 

Explore Chile’s gorgeous desert scenery. You can fly to Calama airport from Santiago or La Serena and take guided tours of the Atacama region.

Valle de Elqui

Pisco Elqui: Learn how pisco is made and explore the town. This is an easy 50 minute trip from Vicuña.

Museo Gabriela Mistral: Right in Vicuña! Learn about one of Chile’s most famous poets who was born in Vicuña.

Isla Damas 

Reserva Nacional Pingüino de Humboldt: Take a boat ride around an island that is a penguin reserve. You won´t be able to go on the island due to protection of the penguins.

Middle of Chile

Santiago

Santiago: This is Chile's capital city. There are many great things to do and see. You can easily spend a couple of days exploring Santiago, but just like any big city there are some dangers to be aware of. Stay to the tourist areas and always have an eye on your belongings. If you are looking for a hotel in Santiago, I recommend staying in the northeast part of the city. Refer to my travel blog for more suggestions.

Valparaíso/Viña del Mar

Valparaíso/Viña del Mar: These two cities are right next to each other. If you are staying the night, I recommend staying in Viña del Mar because it tends to be a nicer and safer zone. Check out the city where David and Nicole's story began. Enjoy the amazing street art, beach sunsets, and enchanting vibe. Again, stick to the tourist areas and be careful at night. Casablanca

It's wine o'clock somewhere. Interested in spending the day exploring the vineyards of Chile? Take a tour of beautiful vineyards and enjoy Chile's delicious wine.

Isla de Pascua (Easter Island)

This is a longer trip, but is highly recommended if you have the time and are feeling adventurous. You can fly directly from Santiago airport to Easter Island (Aeropuerto Internacional Mataveri, IPC). The flight takes about 5 and a 1/2 hours.

South of Chile

Chiloé

Chiloé is an island in the southern part of Chile. You can get here by a taking a ferry that leaves from Puerto Montt or by flying from Santiago airport.

Pucón

Pucón is a beautiful city which is home to Chile's volcanos. You can arrive to Pucón by bus, car, or airplane (to Temuco airport).

Torres del Paine (Patagonia)

Enjoy the beauty of Torres del Paine National Park. Refer to Nicole's blog for more details.

Cavernas de Marmol 

Take a kayak tour through the marble caves! The nearest airport to the caves is Balmaceda. We recommend booking an excursion.
