Our Story
August 2016: Tale as Old as Time
Zack and Nicole met in Japanese class during their freshman year at the University of Notre Dame, and they quickly became inseparable.
July 2017: Japan
Nicole and Zack studied abroad in Japan for the summer of 2017. That’s Nicole’s little host sister with the hat, Yume!
February 2019: Junior Parents’ Weekend
This isn’t that important to their love story, but don’t they look great??? A couple that slays together stays together.
March 2020: Canadian Roadtrip
They had planned a roadtrip to Canada and finished it just before everything shut down in 2020. It was cold as hell; they’ll be doing a summer trip next time.
May 2020: Graduation
While Nicole and Zack graduated from Notre Dame in 2020, their ceremony wasn’t held until 2022. Still, they made it! (They look like ants here.)
January 2022: First Child!
On January 11th, 2022, after a long labor (drive to the humane society), Nicole and Zack had their first child: a daughter named Deja.
October 2022: Child Number Two!
After a surprise pregnancy (spontaneous drive to the humane society), Nicole and Zack welcomed their second child on October 22nd, 2022. He is named Melville after one of Nicole's favorite authors, Herman Melville.
December 2022: Doctor on the Slopes
Zack convinced Nicole to go sledding down the steep hill at his house, and it ended about as well as anyone would have expected.
September 2023: Proposal at ND
For Nicole’s birthday weekend in 2023, Zack treated her to a football game at their alma mater. (What the heck is a first down??)
