The Zoo
The Indianapolis Zoo is located in downtown Indianapolis, nestled right between Washington Street and the White River. It is a 20-minute drive from the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) and just a hop, skip, and a jump from downtown activities and lodging.
To and From the Zoo
You’re welcome to drive your own vehicle to the zoo, as we are being provided free parking (just say you’re with the Matthias-Walker wedding).
Otherwise, we have a trolley reserved to get us to and from the zoo for the evening. Pick-up will start at the Omni Severin Hotel around 5pm and continue until everyone has been dropped off. At the end of the night, the trolley will drop off back at the Omni Severin, which is a short work from the Embassy Suites where our smaller block of rooms is.

We recommend staying at hotels near the Indianapolis International Airport or in downtown Indy.
Parking at the Embassy Suites and Omni costs extra; many airport hotels have free parking.
Omni Severin Hotel
The Omni Severin is a 7-minute drive from the Indy Zoo. We have a larger block of rooms reserved from April 30th through the night of May 7th for those who may want to hang out in Indianapolis before and beyond the wedding. The website link below will take you to our booking page.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Indianapolis Downtown
The downtown Embassy Suites is a 5-minute drive from the Indy Zoo. We have a small block of rooms reserved here from May 3rd through May 5th. The website link below will take you to our booking page.
A bit of extra info from the hotel: If preferred to reserve a suite in the group block over the phone, call 317-236-1800 and ask for reservations. Provide the arrival/departure dates of your stay and mention group code MWW. Verify the group name is Mathias-Walker WB-IC. Verify the group rate of $239.00 per night for a King Bed Suite plus taxes, $249.00 per night for a Double Bed Suite plus taxes, or $389.00 per night for a Bi-Level Penthouse King Bed Suite plus taxes. The booking agent will ask for credit card information to guarantee the room.
Airport Hotels
There are tons of hotels right around the Indianapolis Airport as well. This area is about a 15-minute drive to the zoo, and many of the hotels near the airport offer free parking.
