Pat and Nicole both swiped right during the summer of 2015. After meeting at Dunesday, a concert on the beach, they hit it off. Though 12 hours of distance while Nicole was at school stood in their way, Pat waited patiently and asked Nicole to be his girlfriend when she was home for Christmas break on December 18, 2015. She said no... and then quickly changed her mind and made him ask her again the very next day :)

Charleston was a great setting for the beginning of their love story. During her last semester at the College of Charleston, Pat came to visit Nicole a few times. He quickly got to know all her friends and found some of his favorite spots in Charleston. After Nicole's graduation, Pat and Nicole made their way from Charleston back to New Jersey and continued growing their life together there. Their Asbury beach apartment became the place for many parties, weekend guests and eventually Pat's Instagram live shows.

Then one March day, nearly 5 years later, Pat and Nicole went to Pier Village to "have lunch with his coworkers" and “mistakenly” arrived 30 minutes early, so they had to go for a walk on the boardwalk to waste time. After Nicole yelled at him for not listening carefully to the reservation time, they began their walk. As they walked past the exact location on the beach they had met nearly 5 years prior, Pat got down on his knee. Both of their families came out from hiding and met them for photos and lunch in Pier Village. The evening ended with an intimate dinner in Asbury and a surprise party with all their closest friends!

Since then, Nicole and Pat have been counting the days until they celebrate their love with all their family and friends in Charleston!
