Our Wedding

Pat and Nicole both swiped right during the summer of 2015. After meeting at Dunesday, a concert on the beach, they hit it off. Though 12 hours of distance while Nicole was at school stood in their way, Pat waited patiently and asked Nicole to be his girlfriend when she was home for Christmas break on December 18, 2015. She said no... and then quickly changed her mind and made him ask her again the very next day :) Charleston was a great setting for the beginning of their love story. During her last semester at the College of Charleston, Pat came to visit Nicole a few times. He quickly got to know all her friends and found some of his favorite spots in Charleston. After Nicole's graduation, Pat and Nicole made their way from Charleston back to New Jersey and continued growing their life together there. Their Asbury beach apartment became the place for many parties, weekend guests and eventually Pat's Instagram live shows. Then one March day, nearly 5 years later, Pat and Nicole went to Pier Village to "have lunch with his coworkers" and “mistakenly” arrived 30 minutes early, so they had to go for a walk on the boardwalk to waste time. After Nicole yelled at him for not listening carefully to the reservation time, they began their walk. As they walked past the exact location on the beach they had met nearly 5 years prior, Pat got down on his knee. Both of their families came out from hiding and met them for photos and lunch in Pier Village. The evening ended with an intimate dinner in Asbury and a surprise party with all their closest friends! Since then, Nicole and Pat have been counting the days until they celebrate their love with all their family and friends in Charleston!

Our Story

Transportation to and from wedding venue on Saturday, November 5th is provided!4 PM Pickup outside of the Francis Marion hotelThe bus will be leaving promptly at 4 PM for the ceremony. Please arrive a few minutes early and if you are not staying at the Francis Marion but plan to take the bus, please route your location so that you do not miss the 4 PM departure. 10:30 PM Pickup from Legare Waring HouseThe bus will stop at the Francis Marion Hotel for any guests that do not wish to attend the after party. The bus will then drop all remaining guests at Prohibition for the after party. Guests will need to present their ID to the bouncer as they would normally. We have rented out the back patio and bar so you can make your way past other patrons and through the bar and dancefloor, past the bathrooms and we will have full access to the back bar and tented patio.

Transportation

We were able to secure a few rooms blocks at the Francis Marion Hotel, Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn and the Residence Inn in West Ashley. There are many hotels that do not provide room blocks that we have also listed below the room block options if you are looking elsewhere. Some of these are boutique hotels. We also strongly recommend looking into Airbnb, Vrbo and other rental companies! Eat & Drink

Things To Do

Other than eating and drinking, there are lots of things to take up your time in Charleston. Here are a few of our favorites. My favorite thing to do in Charleston is just walk the city! At every turn there is so much history and beauty. Walk the Battery, Waterfront Park, the Market and down King Street. Shopping - There are so many great boutiques and lots of well known shops all along King Street. Go through the City Market on Market Street for more handmade and unique items. Schooner Pride Sunset Cruise - A great sunset activity! Beach - There are lots of different options if it is warm enough for a beach day. Isle of Palms, Sullivans Island and Folly Beach. I would recommend Sullivans Island or Folly Beach. Sullivans Island has a little bit less of a town feel and is more beach homes. But has one of my favorite brunch spots, The Obstinate Daughter. Make sure to stop at The Co-Op for a frosé. Also stop at Shem Creek on your way back downtown. Enjoy drinks/bites at Saltwater Cowboys along Shem Creek. Folly Beach is very laid back but has a bit more going on. There are little beach shops, bars, restaurants and hotels. May be more crowded on a nice day. Tours - There are so many options from food tours, brewery tours, ghost tours and carriage tours. Angel Oak - Outside of Charleston, on your way to Kiawah Island, you can stop to see the Angel Oak, the largest live oak east of the Mississippi. Marion Square Farmers Market - Saturday mornings from 8 AM - 1 PM Cypress Gardens Magnolia Plantation and Gardens Waterfront Park, The Battery &amp; Rainbow Row The College of Charleston

We want you to look and feel your best while dancing the night away at our wedding. However, our venue is outdoors, so we recommend women wear block heels or flats.&nbsp;An added layer in case it is a breezy evening is always a great idea!
