-Dane County Farmers Market on Capitol Square is a must!! It’s usually pretty busy, go early! It’s only Saturday morning 6am - 1pm
-Follow up the Farmers Market walking around the Capitol building. It’s free and absolutely stunning. See if you can find the roof deck for incredible views of the lakes and city. Monday-Friday 8a-6p, Sat & Sun 8a-4p
-Walk State Street from the Capitol to Bascom Hill (downhill!!) It is packed with fun shops, restaurants, and bars. Our favorite food is pizza by the slice is at Ian’s Pizza or State Street Brats!
-Memorial Union Terrace for drinks and music. Monday-Friday 7a-11p, Sat & Sun 8a-Midnight - golden hour into sunset here is incredible
-On campus, UW Madison Lakeshore Nature Preserve for some light hiking/walking. We recommend going to picnic point and taking in the views.
-Near Edgewood campus, where Nicole went to Undergrad, is Henry Vilas Zoo. It is free and great for kids! Open 9:30a-5p
-A huge nerdy favorite is the UW Geology Museum. It’s free! Open Monday-Friday 8:30a-4p, Saturday 9a-1p, closed Sunday
-A very unique mini golf experience at Vitense Mini Golf! Take a mini tour of Madison. Open 8:30a-10p
