It all started out as friends. Nicole and Brett first met each other through work in November 2014, working on the same team at a financial services firm in a fast-paced environment and a quickly growing company. Over the next few years, they developed a strong bond as friends, confidants, and support systems as well as being helpful work partners. Their different personalities helped them grow closer as their individual strengths greatly complemented each other in both life and the workplace. After becoming close friends, their relationship blossomed into a romantic one, growing closer to each other over time and they decided to officially begin dating.

Over the years, they have traveled together to Hawaii, Mexico, Seattle, Colorado, California, New York, Tennessee, Florida, the Bahamas, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria and Italy. They both enjoy the quality time spent with each other’s families and could not be happier with the support systems that they both are very lucky to have.

Brett and Nicole have been living together over the past two years in a house backing up to a greenbelt in a friendly neighborhood in Southwest Austin. They have worked to transform the deck and back yard into a fun entertainment area for friends and family as well as a wildlife viewing platform to view the birds, foxes, owls and squirrels.

They have both been through trying experiences and tragic loss, as well as moments of extreme laughter and happiness. Brett and Nicole have spent many a night listening to Italian Cooking Music and dancing the night away, gracefully of course, in their living room. They have spent many a New Years Eve over martinis, wine, steak and lobster, and going out to celebrate together and watch the fireworks at the stroke of midnight.

Brett proposed to Nicole on her Birthday, June 11th, 2023, at an outing surrounded by family and close friends at Jester King Brewery, and they are over the moon to see everyone for their marriage nuptials, and lively reception, on November 2nd, 2024.
