Monkey Mountain is one of the highest mountains in the area. This natural paradise offers an impressive panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean, the Marietas Islands, and Banderas Bay. ~3 hour hike round trip.
Rent a car or take an Uber up to this adorable beach town known for it's culture and surfing. Stop along the way at local fruit stands for fresh coconut water and a snack!
The tour guides are very helpful and this destination is worth the effort, just know there is a small swim involved and it's not for the faint of heart! If that's not for you, you can still enjoy the water and whale watching.
Extending your trip or have extra time? Stay in downtown Puerto Vallarta. Zona Romantica is our favorite neighborhood. Great food, fun bars and authentic PV experiences.
Our favorite restaurant in downtown PV! Be sure to ask for the history of the hotel (Hint: Ask about Elizabeth Taylor)
Up for some salsa dancing or a fresh Cuban cigar? Check out this lively spot downtown.
Send a pic of our initials if you can find them ;)
We found this on accident during our first trip here (no tour necessary - we did self guided). The entrance of this hike can be a bit deceiving, but the dip is worth the journey!
Can you guess what movie was filmed here?
