Picture it- Statesboro, 2012.

Luke and Nina were both working at a bar in the Boro- Luke was a bouncer and Nina was bartending. They got to spend a lot of down time hanging out and quickly became great friends.

After college, their lives took them on different paths- Luke moving to Asheville and Nina going back to Atlanta.

As the years went on, after leaving Statesboro, they continued to keep in touch and would randomly see each other when their travels took them to Asheville or Atlanta.

In 2022, Nina's friends were getting married outside of Asheville and Nina messaged Luke to try to coordinate grabbing a drink while she would be in town and was surprised to hear that Luke was actually in Atlanta for Sweetwater 420 Festival.

Since they both had plans to go to the show on Saturday, they made a plan to meet up. The next day, they met up and had a great time jamming to Goose (establishing them as one of their favorite bands) and spending the day hanging out and even convincing Luke to come to late night set at a different venue (where none of Nina's friends believed that the two were 'just friends'). The two hung out on Sunday for the last day of the festival and Luke got the nerve up to ask Nina on a date when he moved back to Atlanta (one month later!)

They kept in touch via text - all while trying to be cool and not seem TOO EXCITED- for the next month and finally had their first date in May at a brewery. Luke and Nina knew from that moment that they had been reunited for the best reasons.

A few months later, the two moved in together and started to build their little family, as Roadie started to love Luke almost as much as his mom. A couple of months later, they adopted Mila to round out the puppy to human ratio.

The two spent the last 2 years having adventures, visiting new places, going to festivals and shows, checking off bucket list items, and building their life together.

The two decided to take a trip to Europe together so that Luke could see where Nina was from and meet her family. Luke spent time trying to learn the basics of speaking Bosnian and they embarked on a trip to Slovenia, Bosnia, Croatia, and Paris to have the best vacation ever.

As the couple landed in Paris for their last weekend in Europe , they spent the day at The Louvre, drinking amazing wine and eating cheese, explored the city, and made their way to see the Eiffel Tower.

At the end of the trip, Luke surprised Nina with an amazing engagement with a special ring from Croatia, at the Eiffel Tower (far away from an audience) and she said YES!
