Our story began in the cold winter of 2017 when we swiped right on the popular dating app, Dil Mil (sponsor us). Nirmal, with his classic charm, messaged Apeksha with a swoon-worthy "What's up?" Apeksha chose to reply with "the sky." Hilarious. Nirmal paused, wondering if it was worth replying to. Spoiler: it was. And just like that, the conversation took off, leading to our first date at Indiana University, and a connection neither of us expected, but both of us hoped for.

Getting into this relationship meant adjusting to long-distance life (spoiler #2: we made it work). While the miles between us grew, our bond only strengthened. Whether it was late-night calls, weekend visits, or just supporting each other through life’s ups and downs, we kept moving forward, side by side.

After 3 years together, the long-distance chapter came to an end when Apeksha moved to Chicago for grad school. We found ourselves building new lives in the same city, ready for whatever came next.

The engagement involved a free tour of Chicago's beautiful architecture, a half-eaten Potbelly sandwich, and a small question on a rooftop on a rainy October afternoon.

Now, we’re excited to celebrate this next step—our wedding—with you all.
