The Wedding Ceremony will take place in the Formal Gardens, (outside). In the event of rain, when guests arrive they will be led to the Orangery for the Ceremony. The Cocktail Hour will be just outside the Grand Tent, on a beautiful patio with a pathway connected to the Carriage House (not accessible, due to the Grand Tent) and Pool area (sorry, no swimming whatsoever, but picture taking is just fine.) The Bar room continues out to The Grounds of the estate. The Reception (Dinner) will start in the Grand Tent just across from the Orangery and Bar Room. As the evening goes on, dancing will flow back into the Orangery, and the Grand Tent will be accessible for guests enjoying a quieter gathering.
What shoes should I wear?
Please wear shoes that allow you to be comfortable walking on grass and/or brick pathways... and then dancing the night away!
What day should I arrive before the Wedding?
We encourage all family and friends to arrive by Saturday April 27th, 2024. We are going to be having an Exploring Hershey/Lancaster Day: The Bridal Party will be enjoying a Hershey Park Day, all are welcome to join us. Please get in touch with us if you would like tickets for the park, if we get enough people, we can explore group ticket rates and options. For guests opting out of the amusement park experience (no worries), the day is yours to explore! Feel free to check out the Things to Do! Hershey and Lancaster offer so many wonderful sites to see and visit. Later in the evening (8pm) we encourage all guests who have arrived to join us for a non-hosted gathering of food and drink at a local restaurant in the Lancaster area. If I have a child/children, should I bring them to the wedding?
Children are welcome! We will have a kids table with some coloring books and other activities at the dinner. However, we have noticed more parents have fun if their children are home with a sitter. If you wish to bring your child, but want to hire a babysitter for the evening, we can put you in contact with trusted child care services through our family that has kiddos in the area.. Please contact us for more information, we will link you up with other parents attending in case you wish to hire a babysitter together. We do ask that you escort any loudly disruptive or cranky kiddos from the ceremony to a designated space if need be.
