Costa Rica is a small country in Central America containing 7 provinces: San José, Alajuela, Heredia, Cartago, Limón, Puntarenas & Guanacaste. Ranked as one of the happiest places to live in terms of beauty and people, its no wonder Costa Rica is a fantastic destination. Costa Rica is home to over half a million plants and animal species, including butterflies, hummingbirds, sloths, and magnificent flowers. She possesses over 200 volcanic formations, some older than 65 million years, which contribute to the wildlife, geography, and warm water. Costa Rica is also home to several famous beaches such as the those located in Guanacaste and Limón like Puerto Viejo, Cahuita, Tortuguero, Conchal. The famous Manuel Antonio national park in Puntarenas possesses one of the highest volumes of wildlife of any national park in the world and is truly the heart of Costa Rican beauty. Costa Rica has two international airports, one in San José (SJO) and the other in Liberia (LIR). For the purposes of our wedding, please fly to San José (SJO), as you will then land in the exact city where our celebration begins.

If you are planning to explore and vacation in Costa Rica before or after our event, a rental car is our recommendation for long distance travel. However, if you are headed to a resort please contact your resort’s concierge for their property’s best travel advice.

Both are great options, and it depends on your group size. Personally, we tend to book an Airbnb when we travel to Costa Rica; often can you find a very nice Airbnb for an exceedingly reasonable price.

If you plan to rent a car for your stay, our venue will provide parking. However, Uber is very cheap in Costa Rica and just as convenient. Your hotel or property manager of wherever you choose to stay can also assist with hailing a taxi.
