Frequently asked questions

1. What is the dress code for the Indian Ceremony and the Wedding day?

For the Indian Ceremony, there is a formal dress code and traditional or vibrant attire is encouraged to celebrate the cultural significance, but not required. We just ask that guests avoid wearing red and cream, as these colors are reserved for the bride and groom. For the Wedding day at Sky Ayana, we kindly request formal black-tie attire for the wedding ceremony and reception at Ayana. We also ask that guests refrain from wearing white, as this color is reserved for the bride.

2. How do I RSVP for the wedding?

Please RSVP by the 17th of December 2024 using the link provided on the invitation. Any non-response or responses after this date will be marked as a decline, and we will miss your presence, but we kindly ask for your understanding.

3. Can I bring my children to the wedding?

We love and appreciate families, and we warmly welcome children to the Indian Ceremony on Friday, 23rd May. However, we kindly advise that the Wedding Ceremony and Dinner Reception at Ayana Resort be child-free from 9:00pm onwards, in accordance with the venue's restrictions. We hope this will allow everyone to fully enjoy the evening, and we appreciate your understanding.

4. Are you registered for gifts?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! However, if you would like to contribute, we will have a wishing well available for cards, wishes and cash gifts.

5. Will there be food options for dietary restrictions?

We will do our best to accommodate all dietary preferences and restrictions. Please inform us of any dietary needs when you RSVP so we can make arrangements accordingly.

6. Will there be airport pickups available?

Most resorts in Bali, including those near Seminyak and Jimbaran, offer complimentary or affordable airport pickups for guests. We recommend checking with your resort when making your booking, as they will be able to arrange a seamless pick-up and check-in process upon your arrival.

7. Where is the best place to stay for the Indian Ceremony?

Please see the Indian Ceremony tab for information on where to stay in the central location of Seminyak, which offers close access to a range of beaches, restaurants, and activities. It is also only a 30-40 minute drive from The Iman Villa.

8. How do I get from Seminyak to The Iman Villa for the Indian Ceremony?

All hotels and resorts in the Seminyak area will be able to assist with organizing a driver or transport to The Iman Villa in Canggu. Additionally, we recommend checking and downloading the green application Gojek onto your phones, which is the Indonesian version of Uber. It allows you to book a vehicle at very affordable rates, making it a convenient and budget-friendly option for getting to the villa.

9. Where should I stay for the wedding at Ayana?

For guests attending the wedding at Ayana Resort, please check the Wedding Day at Sky at Ayana Resort tab for accommodation details. We recommend staying at Rimba by Ayana, which offers stunning views and access to luxury amenities within the Ayana Resort complex. For a more affordable option, we recommend InterContinental Bali Resort, which is also located in the Jimbaran area, offering great comfort and proximity to the venue.

10. How do I get from Seminyak to Ayana Resorts in Jimbaran?

For guests traveling from Seminyak to Ayana Resort in Jimbaran, we recommend checking with your Seminyak resort as they can easily assist in organizing a private driver for a smooth transfer. Alternatively, for a more affordable option, you can use the Gojek app, which allows you to book a vehicle at very low prices, offering a convenient and budget-friendly way to reach Ayana Resort or any other resort in the Jimbaran area.

11. What are the visa requirements for Bali?

Please refer to The Bali Visa Process tab for in-depth information regarding applying for an E-Visa, the customs declaration and online health declaration required. These can be done at the airport however wait times will apply so we recommend applying online to save you time at the airport.

12. Does Bali have Uber?

Bali offers an app called Gojek, similar to Uber, with a simple setup process that requires your email, mobile number, and a credit card. To use it, just select the "places" category, enter the address or name of the villa or resort you’re heading to, and choose "Gocar" for a car ride. Please find the logo below in the Apple Store or Google play for download.

13. Can we add children to the room at Rimba at Ayana?

For families staying in the Resort View Room at Rimba, here are the options for accommodating additional children: Ages 0-3: Children aged 0-3 years stay for free, and a complimentary cot will be provided upon request. Ages 4-11: If your child shares the existing bed with a parent, the cost is 192,000 IDR net (approximately $20.46 NZD) per child, per night, with up to 2 children allowed in one room. Alternatively, for a single bed/sofa bed, the cost is 512,000 IDR net (approximately $54.56 NZD) per child, per night, with a maximum of 2 children in a room. Ages 12 and above: For children aged 12 years to adult, the rate for an extra single bed/sofa bed is 1,184,000 IDR net (approximately $126.16 NZD) per person, per night. All rates include breakfast for each child, ensuring a comfortable stay for the entire family.

14. How do guests staying offsite get to the Sky Venue?

For guest's staying offsite, please allow your driver to drop you off at the Main Lobby of Ayana Resort. You can then advise the staff at the entrance you are attending a wedding for Nora and Nivaar at Sky. They will assist you by driving you over in the resort's buggies. At the end of the night, the buggies will return you the Main Lobby for collection by your driver or Gojek driver.

15. What is the weather like in Bali in May?

In May, Bali experiences warm and inviting weather as it transitions into the dry season. Average temperatures range from 24°C (75°F) at night to around 32°C (90°F) during the day. While the humidity levels are moderate, around 70-80%, the heat and humidity can feel intense, especially for those who are not acclimatized. We recommend arriving a few days early to allow your body to adjust to the climate. For your comfort, lightweight, breathable fabrics are ideal. Choose clothing made from natural materials, such as cotton or linen, to help keep you cool. Remember to layer up on sunscreen, as the UV index can be high, making sun protection essential.

16. What are the babysitter rates through Ayana?

Babysitting services at Ayana Resort are priced at 150,000 IDR per hour (approximately $16 NZD), plus a 10% service charge and 11% government tax, bringing the total to 181,500 IDR per hour (around $19.40 NZD). For children under 4 years of age, one babysitter is required per child. If your children are above 4 years old, one babysitter can care for up to three children maximum. Please reach out to Nora for any assistance or questions regarding these services, and inquire with the resort for further details and to arrange for babysitting during your stay.

17. Sim cards

There are many telecommunications companies available after exiting customs at the Denpasar (Gusti Ngurah Rai International) airport. They offer many affordable data options and activate and install the sim card for you. We highly recommend purchasing one to enable you to be connected, even in area’s without public wifi.
