Nora and I had many mutual friends during our freshman year in college. We quickly found ourselves in the same friend group and were hanging out more and more. We soon found out that we were both majoring in accounting meaning we would have many classes together going forward. Eventually I found myself doing some of my homework assignments with Nora and this is when I started to have a crush on her. I had always thought she was cute, but I didn’t really know much about her until we had intro to accounting together. After a bit of uncertainty, I finally asked her out and we went on our first date on February 25th, 2023, to the aquarium. We both had fun (I think) and I later found out from her friends that she would be happy to go on a second date. Not much than a month later on March 17th we became official, and I am sad to report that Nora kissed me first (still kind of embarrassed by that). From this point on we just became closer and closer and did not leave each other’s side much at all. That summer I went to Phoenix to visit Nora and that is where I told her that I loved her. We spent our sophomore year of college continuing our relationship and growing together. We started going to church together every Sunday and began to talk about marriage and this quickly turned into a desire to be engaged. At this point I knew Nora was the one and I could see a bright future ahead. Not long after I had her parents’ blessing, I bought her a ring, and was planning how I would propose. My family had a trip to Mexico planned and Nora was invited. I thought this would be the best opportunity, so after lots of coordination, Nora’s parents were able to make the trip as well, although this was a surprise for Nora. On May 11th, 2024, I proposed to Nora on a beach in Mexico and it was one of the best moments of my life. I have never loved someone like I love Nora, she is my best friend, my first love, and the women I want for the rest of my life. June 5th cannot come soon enough, and I am so excited to celebrate with all our friends and family.
