John and Noreen spent their summers working at the Fire Island Ferries, but never knew each other until a mutual friend introduced us, (Thank you, Gerard!) on a ferry ride home. We went our separate ways after meeting, but then saw each other out at the final Margarita Madness before Noreen went back to college. We danced the night away and became inseparable from that night on. John asked Noreen to make it official the day after her birthday, 10/21/2018 right before Noreen was about to meet all of John’s Oneonta friends, (shout out toothpaste!). Fast forward to June 2023, we moved into our first apartment together and on 8/23/2024 John got down on one knee at our most favorite spot to watch the Sunset in Fire Island
