Our Wedding

Our Story

Our love story started early on when were just freshmen and sophomores in high school. The first time we met was in high school Spanish class. We became friends slowly and even had a small crush on each other in the beginning stages of our friendship! As time went on and through different seasons of life, we still stayed in touch as friends throughout high school and always managed to keep in touch :). During the winter of our junior and senior years, we decided to go to the winter formal together as friends. After the formal, we started to talk more and even met up a few times to hang out in person outside of school. In the spring of our junior and senior year of high school, the pandemic hit and we were forced to only communicate through texts, calls, and FaceTime. During this time of a slower-paced life, our friendship grew and our interest in each other started to grow. We felt God drawing us closer together. Shortly after, we started dating in early 2020. Joel graduated high school in May of 2020 and attended North Greenville University. A year later Olivia graduated high school and decided to move away to attend nursing school at Liberty University. We have been doing long-distance for about two and a half years while still seeing each other on breaks and holidays. Though at times long-distance was challenging, God has forever grown our relationship and has made us the strongest we have ever been. We knew that in the summer of 2023, we wanted to commit to being together forever. We have seen the Lord work in amazing ways as we have watched our love unfold from 15 and 16-year-olds to 21 and 22-year-olds. On December 15, 2023, Joel proposed and it was one of the best days of our lives. We are both very excited to watch the Lord lead us as we take the next step in marriage. We have watched each other grow for years and our love truly evolved from friendship to now spending the rest of our lives together. Here's to forever!
